What he said scared the hell out of me. I have to admit that. He has a track record of not falling short of his promises.
So him telling me, no, promising me of a surprise brought dread to my heart. I also dread knowing what happened to the private investigator.
I hope that he is doing fine. I hope that he will make it through.
I heard Ed move beside me and saw that he was on the phone.
"Now I am telling you okay?" Ed shouted in frustration.
"You are really going to act like the jerk of a policeman that you are and not help?" Ed shouted again.
His words made me realize that he was talking to Officer Scott. For him to talk to him after what just happened only meant that he is taking the situation seriously.
Uncle Jess was on the phone too although I am not really sure who he was talking to but he kept casting surreptitious glances my way. I wonder who is on the phone with him.
