That thought brought great comfort as well as unease to me. Comfort since I will be in the hands of someone capable. But at the same time it made me uneasy since I would be getting help from the family of my lover.

If Ed truly cared about me, he would not have done those things to make things worse. He would have treaded carefully, especially since we knew that we were being watched. He should have thought of gathering as much evidence as he can so that would allow me to defend myself.
