I looked at John's back not realizing that everything that is running through my mind can be easily read. I did not want to think of John as someone who can harm someone else.
Especially now. Not when the person claimed that he was responsible for the death of the woman found near our apartment. I refuse to believe that someone I know can be that evil.
"Helena?" Ed called my name, effectively dousing the dreadful feeling that started to rise in me.
"Hmmm?"
"What's wrong, love?"
"Nothing." I forced a smile for him. I don't want to start my day thinking about that bas****. "I will tell you everything later. At home."
He nodded knowing that whatever it is that I am keeping from him will be spilled later when we go home. I saw Jeff waiting for us with questioning eyes.
I just shook my head and smiled at him to reassure him that nothing was wrong. He has enough worry especially with Bryanna going on a date later.
