We arrived at Kirk City without any mishaps. Even Bry and Jeff arrived in a better mood. It seemed that they made up. I wanted to know what happened but I can see that Bry was not in the mood to talk.
It has been a really long weekend for me. A lot has happened and my body is starting to feel it. I was so tired and I felt like I was coming down with a cold. My entire body aches and I was so drowsy that I just wanted to crawl to my bed.
Ed might have felt or seen this since he scooped me up in his arms before I stepped out of the elevator. I looked at him, wanting to tell him that I was too tired to do anything but did not want to hurt his feelings.
"I'll take her to my place tonight," Ed told Bry and walked away leaving the two gaping at us.
I waved at Bry, smiled at her and said, "Good night."
