I felt great the following morning. I felt like everything in my life is finally coming into place. I woke up early and prepared breakfast knowing well that Ed and Jeff will come knocking anytime. I was not wrong, they arrived while Bry was still in the bathroom.
Ed was a little grumpy but he hugged me as soon as he came inside the kitchen and simply said "I waited for you but you never came."
"I'm sorry but we talked about something really important. I'll make it up to you okay?" I promised him, trying to soothe his disappointment.
"How?" he asked.
"Date on the weekend?" I asked.
"With the gang?" he asked with a pout.
"Nope. I was thinking of an alone time for the two of us." I answered with a smile. This made him happier. I saw the sudden change in his demeanor.
"That's a date then." he said and went to help me prepare for breakfast.
Jeff looked at the two of us and said, "I'm so jealous."
