Inside the restaurant Elena couldn't move her gaze from Lucas. The words he said sometime ago was replaying in her mind. The way he let out his feelings for her made her heart overwhelmed.
Lucas was busy eating, when his phone rang. Excusing himself he went to take the call.
Elena eyes never left him, she still can't believe her heart was falling for him, slowly steady it's making his way to her sleeping and rock like heart to melt. She never felt the need to be in relationship as she always wanted to have a love story like her parents.
Even though he was named as playboy, he never disrespected her even once. If he wanted to sleep with her, he would have done it a long time ago. But he asked for her permission whenever he initiated anything. To the outside world he was a womanizer, but to her he was a gentleman who put her words into consideration.
Even when she was drunk, she remembered that he didn't do anything that would make her hate him. But it was her who took advantage of him weakness, which she still feel ashamed of.
She was looking at his back, don't know why but she wanted him to be close to her. From the morning she came to the office she had the erge to meet him, but she couldn't as she went to the meeting. And now that he is front of her, she just wanted him to be there, so she could just keep staring at him.
Lucas had got a call from Ron, he had asked him to dig every information of Mark Gary. He was in no mood to let him go. He had tried to harm his women, even if she is softhearted but he is not.
Ron who was feeling very bad at what happened with Elena, was determined to drag all the bad deed of the Fotech corporation. It was his fault that she had to endure so much. From the time he found that Lucas liked her, he had considered her his little sister. And he was not going to let down his boss.
Returning to his seat he saw Elena smiling at him dreamily. Lucas was surprised watching her, she was smiling and he didn't wanted anything else...
"Why are you smiling, Sunshine"he asked looking at he happy face. He was finally content to find her smile back.
Lucas heart had stopped, when he saw the tears flowing from her eyes. He was not able to explain what was happening to him. His sunshine..had to go through so much. But he was happy that she didn't left Mark that easily. He know she was strong enough to protect herself and not let anyone take advantage of her.
"No... nothing" she said and kept eating her food. Lucas didn't asked her anything further and continued with their lunch.

Getting back to the office, Lucas went to his cabin. He had a meeting with the finance department. Now that he was relief to have Elena in front of him, he would now carry on with his work.
Elena was doing her work when Ron came inside. He was feeling very guilty where he couldn't wait to apologize her.
"Miss Carter.... I'm so... sorry. I wasn't aware of what kind of people they were-" he was stopped by Elena.
"You don't have to say sorry sir. I know if you have known, you wouldn't have send me there" she said with an assuring smile. Elena could see he was very guilty but it was not his fault nor anyone fault.
"I look up to you as my brother and i know my brother would not do anything with the intention of hurting me" She said brushing his arm. Ron has always been helpful to her, he was there for guiding her in every steps from the time she had joined and after working with him she got too close to him and knew how caring he was.
Elena didn't had brother, but now Ron took that place in her life. She gave him a hug making him feel less guilty.
Lucas who was watching them and was happy with the fact that she was comfortable with the people he trusted, now even she can have trust in them.

Maira's office
Daneil was waiting for Maira to come out from the company. She had texted him that her work will get over by 8pm. Not wanting to get late, he was done with his round ups early.
The employees who were leaving the office started looking at him.
"Woah...isn't he the Daneil Thomsan?" one of the women who passed by him talked.
"What is he doing here?" the other one with her said.
While both were busy watching him didn't saw when Maira came and stood in front of them. When Maira came out of the building she saw the two women drooling over Daneil. Maira couldn't help but felt jealous.
"Office hours are over, don't you both have to go home?" she said raising her brows. Both the women were startled by Maira's sudden appearance found their voice stuck in their throat. They were so busy in watching him that they didn't notice when she came and stood in front of them. Fearing at their boss words both the women left immediately without looking back.
Walking back to Daneil , she took the phone from his hands and made him look at her. Daneil was watching Maira's video, he had taken the other night when he left her apartment after she slept. He was smiling watching he cute face which looked like a child when she sleeps, she was pouting every now and then in her sleep and giving a smile as if dreaming about something.
"What the fu-"he was about to curse the person who took his phone but stopped looking who it was.

"Hey....when did you come?" he smile looking at her.
Maira was frowning at him, how was she supposed to tell him not to smile. If he keeps doing that it would be hard for her to chase every women who drools on him.
"Shut your mouth... you are not supposed to smile" she said folding her hands and continued, "And what's there in your phone that you are looking at? which is making you so engrossed to avoid the surrounding" .
Maira saw him smiling at his phone, he was so busy that he didn't notice her presence too which annoyed her.
Daneil was going to hug her but retreat his hands hearing her words. He was confused on what she meant. Wasn't she the one who like my dimple? what happened to her? he thought.
Leaving the thought aside he still went had took her in his embrace. Maira let go off her anger in his hug, she couldn't even be angry with him. He was too sweet for her anger.
"Why is sweetheart angry? " he asked while hugging her again.
Letting a sigh of relief she spoke, "How am i supposed to protect you from other women's gaze, when you keep smiling like this" she pulled back and looked at him.
"Daneil now understood why she was behaving this way. Touching his forehead with hers he spoke " I'm all yours from the day i first met you. There will be no women who would beat this heart of mine" he kissed her ensuring her to believe him.
Satisfied by his words she leaned to him more kissing his lips. She can't get enough of his kisses, they had become her addiction which she can't let go.
Pulling back she looked at the phone wanting to know what was making him so happy. Maira's eyes widen in shock when she saw herself in the video sleeping like a dead person, and he had taken it the previous night.
She was sleeping like a pig with her lips pouting. She really hated her sleeping position. "Shit it's so embarrassing" she faceplam herself.
"Ahh... Daneil you.... when did you take this video" she said covering her face in embarrassment.
"What.... I like watching you sleep okay. You...you look cute" he removed the hands that were cover her face and looked at her red face.
Laughing at her flushed face he cupped her cheeks ,pinching it. Why is she so cute? he thought.
Getting inside the car, they drove to her apartment when Daniel was still smiling at Miara as she kept watching the video of her in his phone and kept it back turning it off in irritation.
"When are you going to shift? " Maira turn and asked him. She had got use to his presence and would keep missing hi. the whole day.
"Day after tomorrow" he said while driving.
"Ahh... i am so excited to stay with you" he said smiling like a fool.
"And what about your parents. What are you going to say them? " she asked about them. He had told her that he needs to tell them about his shifting to the new place.
Maira knew he was living with Lucas as his parents wanted him to stay with him. But what was he going to say to them about his shifting to her place? And how would they react? She kept thinking when Daniel wave his hand in front of her face.
"Don't worry brother is going to handle it" he said to her who was busy thinking.
Smiling at his answer she didn't disturb him while driving until the reach home.
