Chapter 3 - Raijin, the Fool

Walking out of the forest that encompasses the Azuka clan, Jin arrived at a farm, this farm had a house and a barn. Looking in the distance, Jin could tell that 2 people were working on the farm.

Their heartbeats were quite loud, Jin calmed down and walked towards the two people, using some big steps, he arrived at the edge of the farm. Seeing the two people working, he cleared his throat.

Watching as the two people raised their heads, one was a young girl, and another was an old woman. Clutching their farming tools, the old woman looked around and saw Jin, a teenage boy who had his face covered.

"W-Who are you?" asked the old woman clutching her hoe tightly and signaling the girl to get behind her.

The girl nodded and got behind her, "Well...I am um...um, do you know where I am at?" asked Jin scratching his head.

The old woman slightly calmed down, "You are in Kyoto, the countryside, is that good, Sir?"

"Sir?" Jin smiled and took off his mask, the old woman calmed down as she saw a teenage boy with a lot of scars.

"Young man, how..."

"Oh, these scars? I was a slave before, nothing special."

Nodding her head, the old woman said, "If you take this road, for 3 miles, you can arrive at the city, there you can find help."

With a confused face, Jin asked, "What is a city? Wait, what is Kyoto or the countryside?"

"Um, Kyoto is the country we are in, and the countryside is um, well farmland and stuff like that, do you get it?"

Jin nodded slowly, "Okay...so, take this road and I will reach what is called a city?"

"Yes."

Smiling, Jin gave the old woman a gold coin, "Thanks."

Walking away, Jin began to follow the road while the old woman was stunned. It took 2 years to get one gold coin, but this young man gave her something that could buy 10 cows. She looked at the young man and smiled, "He will become a great man someday."

The young girl poked her head out and asked, "Grandma, who is he?"

"A great man."

The girl stared at Jin as he left for the city, with a bit of admiration in her eyes. "A great man, that sounds amazing."

"Enough gawking, time to work before your father comes home."

The young girl nodded and both of them went back to farming.

Scratching his head, Jin remembered what Zao told him before he left.

3 hours ago In front of Jin's room, Zao knocked and came in. "Master, what are you doing here?"

"Jin, I have to forbid you from using your skills outside."

"Why?"

Zao sat down and so did Jin. "You are strong, you have surpassed me, and only when you were 14, you are a prodigy. So, I have to warn you, there are stronger people out there, so be cautious about displaying your skills."

Jin was flabbergasted, "Who is stronger than you?"

"A lot of people, don't be too cocky, and don't show off."

Nodding, Jin swore, "I swear, I will be cautious."

"Good."

Back to the present.

Jin took off his mask and walked slowly like a human, to not draw attention. It took him 1.5 hours to arrive at the city, looking around, Jin saw tall buildings and a banner that read: December 21st, 2012, THE END OF THE WORLD IS COMING!

"I cannot read, what does that say," wondered Jin walking around. He saw a young man sitting on the sidewalk, "Bro, why are you so down?"

Looking up, the young man saw a man clad in all black with a mask on his face. "Sir, don't you know what today is?"

"What is today?"

"The end of the world."

Jin looked around and saw people sitting down and looking into the sky, "The end of the world? What is gonna happen then?"

The young man sighed, "We don't know."

Looking at the young man, Jin shook his head and walked away, suddenly he felt a shift in the earth, as if the earth was moving or stretching. Suddenly a crack opened up beneath him, and his chi got locked in place as he fell into the hole.

Opening his eyes, he sees that he was falling into the middle of the earth, "F*ck, I cannot control my chi, nor my limbs, dammit!"

As he was falling, he saw many realms hidden in the earth, he saw A giant Ape, and a huge Reptile fighting big monsters, as well as dinosaurs, he even saw people who looked like elves, they were using magic too but he couldn't see too well as he was falling at the speed of sound.

Shutting off his hearing and meditating, he was able to withstand the force as well as friction due to his training.

Suddenly Jin felt himself being sucked into a portal, looking into the portal, he saw it was filled with the chi of heaven and earth. "If I enter that portal, my body would vanish into thin air, what the f*ck!" thought Jin as he began to enter the portal.

Entering the portal, he felt his body being violently torn apart, but when he entered the portal, he could use his chi, so he did the Sha hand sign and used a lot of his chi to not be ripped to shreds.

Enduring the pain and stamina loss, Jin felt like an eternity passed but only a few seconds passed, suddenly he fell unconscious due to fatigue and passed out into a deep sleep.

In a faraway land, Jin landed in a forest face up. He was having a good dream that he was feeding some animals and he was playing games with some kids. A father and his son were in the forest at the same time when Jin landed.

The animals ran away as soon as Jin landed, so the father was cautious, because only when a predator is nearby, only then the forest becomes quiet. "Son, there is something that is watching us."

The son was only 17, so he was scared, "Father? Why did everything go silent?"

The father gripped his hunting rifle hard, "There is a predator here."

Looking around, the son was scared and he almost peed his pants. "What is that?" asked the son pointing to a broken tree.

The father and son carefully went up to the tree, "It seems something broke it, be careful."

The son looked around and suddenly, he looked down and saw a blood trail. "Father, there...is a blood trail."

"You are so smart son, it seems the predator is hurt, let's kill it and get some money. I heard the foreigners like to buy predator hides, we can be rich."

Nodding the son and father followed the blood trail until they reached a spot in the forest where the trees were broken in half all around, and in the middle of the broken trees was an unconscious Jin.

"Look, son, a man," said the father, taking a few steps toward Jin, he pointed his rifle at him. "Who are you?!"

Jin groaned and held his head as he woke up, this headache was killing him, it felt like a dragon was banging against his head. Shaking his eyes, Jin's eyes quickly adapted to the light of the forest. Looking up, Jin saw a man, with some old-fashioned robes.

It was nothing too fancy, like a black robe with some black dress pants, and he was wearing sandals. Jin calmed his chi down and began to heal some of his injuries, he had some internal bleeding as well as chi deficiency.

"I am not gonna say it again! Who are you?!" yelled the father as he pointed the rifle closer to Jin.

Jin pointed at himself, "I don't understand your language, wait, it sounds like Mandarin or a bit of Cantonese."

Zao made Jin learn a few languages but Jin being Jin, only learned English and neglected any other language. He only knows Japanese and English, he disregards the other languages as useless.

"Ni hao?"

The father was confused, "What?"

Jin cursed under his breath, seeing his face, he knew the man was confused. He then got a good idea, vanishing in front of the father, and appearing behind him.

Clutching the father's head, Jin injected his chi and connected his chi with the father's chi that was in his brain. Lurking, Jin sent his Chi to Wernicke's area and Broca's area of his brain.

Seeing the way the language was taught, learned, spoken, used, and written. He learned a lot in a short amount of time. The son, who saw his father had glazed over eyes, and the strange man holding his head.

He shot his rifle at Jin, who vanished in front of his eyes. Appearing behind a tree, Jin clutched his stomach, "F*ck, that took a lot of chi, and my strength isn't back yet, dammit."

"Don't shoot!" yelled Jin at the son.

The son went to his father and held him, "Father, what did he do to you?"

The father looked up at his son and gulped, "I don't know, it felt like an octopus was in my brain."

Standing up, the father and son aimed at where Jin was talking from. "Who are you!?" yelled the father.

Jin, who can kind of understand him now, says, "I am no dangerous!"

"You did something to me, What was it!?"

"I learned your language..."

The father widened his eyes, "You a Taoist Priest?"

"No?!" Jin came out from behind the tree and bowed, "Sorry, I...don't know how I got here."

The father, seeing that Jin bowed, and he was injured lowered his gun. The son, however, still held his rifle at Jin, just in case. "I see, can you show me how you did that thing?"

"Sure..."

Jin walked in front of the father and touched his head a little, the father felt like a needle was touching his brain, which made him back away a little. "Woah, how did you do that?"

"Magic."

"Oh, so, you are a Taoist Priest?"

Jin raised an eyebrow, "Taoist Priest? What is that?"

The father sighed, "Never mind, so, how did you get here?"

Jin sat down as he began to heal his wound and looked at both of them, "I don't know, I don't know where I am, where is this place?"

The father looked at his son who shook his head in disbelief, "Young man, this is the Qing Dynasty, and this is a forest in Hunan."

"What?!" Jin had heard of China, but the Qing Dynasty? The f*ck is that. "Qing Dynasty? Hunan? Is this 2012?"

The father laughed, "What? No, this is 1898, are you mental or something?"

Jin cleared his throat, "Okay, so...okay, never mind."

The father looked at Jin's attire which was scratched and torn, sighing, he said, "If you don't know how you got here, then, I welcome you to my home."

Looking at his facial expressions, Jin saw that the father was sincere, but his son otherwise was looking at him with contempt. "Okay...thank you then."

"My name is Yin Fei, and my son is named Yin Wei," said the father as he began to depart with Jin following behind.

Wei looked at Jin and scowled, "Are you even Chinese?" asked Wei.

Jin gulped, "I am...yes, I am Chinese, my mother is Japanese while my father is half-Chinese with some Mongolian genes."

Fei looked at Jin for some time, and sighed, "If you reveal that to others, they might kill you."

"Why?"

"The Mongolians are quite hated since they conquered China in the 14th century so just be careful."

"Damn, that is something huh..."
