The carriage stopped and I opened my eyes immediately. The voices from outside were familiar.
I looked the window and realized that we were in the palace. My heart pounded within my chest heavily. I did not why I became so afraid all of a sudden.
"We will wait for the emperor's permission right?" Lyla asked and I nodded. She noticed my mood and offered me hot tea from the tea mugs.
"Thank you, Lyla" I said before taking the cup to my lips. The hot liquid burned on my tongue and I swallowed it immediately. It was at the moment that the emperor opened the carriage. He asked Lyla to get down first and she did.
He asked me if I needed his assistance to get out of the carriage and I nodded, dropping the cup on the small table in front of me.
He waited for me to take steps closed to the door before holding my hand. I came down from the carriage and my eyes was welcomed with the beautiful family I left behind.
