I woke up when I heard music from the top of the ship. It was loud enough to wake an angry shark. I sat up and drew my blanket down. The moon was out when I looked through the window. Even the stars were shining so brightly.
The music continued and something told me to go up there but I was afraid to. What if someone recognized me? Maybe those who have attended the Emperor's parties before.
I sat back and listened to the music. My mind wandered to the problem I just created. Mother was going to break down if she finds out that I left the palace.
