When it was dark, grandmother gathered all the women of the harem at the temple to pray for the emperor's safety. Nobody knew about their plan. This was the perfect day because The queen mother was not around. She went to resolve a riot in the castle, which was far away from the palace. But this was grandmother's doing, to distract from the harem. The plan to kill queen Ariadne might be interrupted by her. Queen Aslaug needed to be away from home, at least for the night.
The royal priest took the front stand and started the prayers. Few minutes later, he asked them to closed their eyes and communicate with the spirits of the land. The women obeyed. It was at this moment that grandmother looked behind her. Queen Valeria was seated in the fourth line.
Grandmother nodded and she stood up from the gathering and headed for the door but queen Alissa stopped her she could leave.
