Tick Tock, Tick Tock

The clock keeps clicking.

I hum and mumble,

as I try to keep myself from dozing.

I sit by the window-

my eyes gazing, mind wandering.

I see a bird tweet.

I wonder what it's saying.

Is it announcing a weather check

or is it merely greeting?

I see army of ants.

I wonder where to they are marching.

Ah, I see the ripe fallen berries by the tree.

Hope they having a good time feasting.

I look towards the sky.

I see colorful paper kites flying.

They look free and happy,

But inanimate objects won't have a purpose soaring.

I sigh as I look towards the clock.

It keeps clicking.

Tick Tock, Tick Tock.
