As he felt sure that the odds were still by his side, William confidently pressured. "Do you really think that I'd come here for anything else, willingly? I didn't even know that you folks like to rip outsiders apart, and at this point I'm surprised that the army didn't sweep you off the mountains."
Such an answer wasn't favoured by anyone around, for obvious reasons. The seven men who considered themselves important, glared at the younger with a shared layer of anger!
Yet, regardless of how infuriating that statement was, William had still progressed today. He managed to get the remaining six chiefs, to the first village down here and now only had to negotiate a deal with them.
Their scepticism was as thick as their beards however, and they didn't hesitate to express it either.
