Although the team was used to travelling across painfully long distances, that still didn't make anything easier. Now they had kids to handle as well, and those little rascals tended to get bored rather easily, apart from having to piss and poop a bit too often.
"This feels like looking after dogs. Pretty sure I picked up some juicy bits of shit in my past life." William thought, but at this point he mostly joked with himself.
The overall issue was even tougher, considering that they had to walk across a seemingly endless flat-land, just to reach the mountainside which seemed like it was close by. The actual distance was about five kilometers, but the knee-high grass which such terrain had, didn't encourage swift travelling; Some steps were skin-slicing even, as green vegetation didn't just feature grass on its own!
