Over the course of a whole month, William had enough time to think some concepts over. Specifically, as he built more and more connections throughout the city's first section, the need for money grew more apparent.
The city owed him twenty-percent of each month's income, and so far he hadn't been able to guess just how many gems that could be. If he dealt with any little settlement, it would have been easy to make predictions, but Fik still housed well over four-million people!
Such a number made it difficult to think of any sum, because he barely understood the economical condition here. The unemployment rate was high, and this place had survived anarchy, which made everything only more confusing!
When he finally traveled to the city's heart, however, the total sum almost gave him a heart-attack. "You mean coins, right? Not gems!"
