The doctor left Carter last. The doctor saw that Carter's eyes were open when he entered the room, staring at the ceiling. He hurried to him.
"Thank God, Carter. You woke up. How do you feel?"
Carter slowly turned his head to the side and nailed a darting gaze on the doctor's eyes.
"Where is Kira?" he asked with his eyebrows drawing together, and the doctor swallowed hard. What could he say to him? How could he tell him the hard truth? He couldn't hide it from him anyway. He had no choice but to confess the truth to him, no matter how harsh it was.
"Well?" Carter asked again. His voice was weak.
"Let me give you to drink some water first," the doctor urged him, taking the glass from the table next to him.
"Just tell me, doctor! Stop trying to avoid answering," Carter tried to raise his voice and get out of bed.
