The Captain came out of the cabin, slamming the door behind him.
Only then did I set me free and start crying. Did he send me to the hell?
That was it. Now I was sure it was all over between us. I had lost him. Forever.
Brielle hugged me, and I perched on her chest.
"Did you hear that too?" I asked her amid my sobs.
"Unfortunately, yes, I did heard him. But I believe it is his anger that had spoken and not him. If he really loves you, he will forgive you," Brielle consoled me, stroking my hair.
"I don't think he will ever forgive me, Brielle." I snapped in despair, got up from my seat, and ran out of the cabin. I went to my room and lay down on my bed. I took my pillow in my arms, hid my face in it to mute the sound, and cried hard.
Fortunately, Brielle did not follow me. She knew me very well, and she knew that I wanted to be alone at times like these.
Eventually, I fell asleep on my tear-soaked pillow.
