"Ms Louise!"
"Ms Louise!" I hear people screaming my name to the point of it bothering me.
"Louise, my darling," I hear a familiar voice calling me making me slowly open my eyes to check who it was. I blinked my eyes until my vision became clear.
"Eve,"
'No one has ever called me in that name except...grandma!'
"Eve, thank God you woke up!" she exclaimed making me sit up and hugged her before she could. "Oh my! What's this?" she asked, surprised. I was about to answer but stopped when she pats me on my back and there, I cried my whole heart out, "what's bothering you, Eve?" instead of answering I just sniffled.
"...," I separated from our hug as if she were to leave me until I heard a loud bang and there I heard someone shout. "WHO HARMED MY GRANDDAUGHTER?!" it was my grandfather. I rushed out of my bed and ran to him and hugged him to the point that we fell down on the floor, with him under me.
"Oh my! Honey, are you okay?!" asked grandma in a worried tone and my grandfather was quick to answer, "yes yes, I'm alright honey," he said. "My honey Eve, you have to be careful you're still young!" exclaimed my grandma while I was dumbfounded.
'I thought she was referring to grandpa and not me'
"You were not asking about me?" asked my grandfather who just got up from the floor. "You're already old and she's still young, so of course I'm not worried about you," answered grandma which brought sadness into my grandfather's face.
'That's why you should be worried about him...because he's old,"
"Yes and that's why you should be worried about me because I'm already old and my complexion's not the same as before," he said while scratching his almost bald head. I chuckled, I never thought that they were this loving before. I always thought that only my grandma loved me that's why I didn't cry for my grandfather's funeral and bailed my eyes out when it was grandma's funeral.
"Ehem," grandfather said while gaining his composure. "Don't do that next time Louise," he seriously said. Normally, when I was this age I would usually shake whenever my grandfather would talk to me, but it's different now.
"Okay grandpa," I said while smiling. I've never shown this smile to him, only grandma and my late mom saw it. I looked at grandpa once again and noticed that his eyes widened a bit but it came back to their usual shape and turned his back to me before he walked out.
"Eve, tell me the truth, are finally feeling fine now?" grandma asked me again in a worried tone and I nodded. "Do you remember what happened? Natasha said that it was quite a fall," I shivered when I heard the name 'Natasha'. "She saw you lying down on the stairs with blood slowly oozing out from your head," she said.
'Ah, this was the time where she disguised this as an accident but is truly an attempted murder,'
"Eve, are you sure you're alright? You've become pale," she said while touching my cheek but I was too occupied to reply to her. If this was the time where I was tricked then I must be 20 years old right now. "Grandma, I assure you-" I didn't get to finish my sentence because of the sudden interruption.
"Sister~" I heard 'that' voice again. It was as if my body was still in shock so I quickly turned myself into a ball.
'Even if my brain had overcome this trauma in the past, my body still remembers it,'
"Natasha," my grandma called and there, I noticed that the way she calls my name and Natasha's are different, it was as if that she was angry at Natasha's well-being. "Hello grandma~" she said in a tone where it would almost destroy your hearing before sitting beside me and my body acted on its instinct and immediately scooted away and sat near to my grandma.
"Why sister?? Are you afraid of me??" she said while batting her eyelashes out and really it makes wanna tear it off and burn it.
"W-Why would I-I be afraid of y-you?"
'Damn it! My brain from the past is still traumatized! I can't even speak the way I wanted,"
She smirked, "well, isn't it obvious, you're stuttering and shaking and even sat away from me," she said while eyeing her nails and to be honest, it did not suit her. I was about to answer her but my grandma beat me to it. "Natasha stop, if what you're doing is to piss your sister out then stop it or I would personally punish you," grandma seriously said. I noticed that she balled her hands into fists and turning almost turning white before she released it. I looked at her face and watch her fake smile as she slowly stood up and left us alone.
'So she's afraid of grandma, how come I never knew it until now?'
"Don't be afraid Eve, I'm still here, you're grandpa's still here and until then we will protect you in your late mother's stead," she hugged me.
"Thank you, grandma," I buried my head into her body and came to rethink what I've done in my past life. "To think of it, why did you not protect your sister from me this time?" she said, spatting the word 'sister' as if she abhorred it. I remembered that in the past, I would always treat my grandparents as the bad guys and protect my sister whenever they would threaten to punish her. That's how foolish I was.
"I just realized something right now and for the past activities that she did," I replied. I know that it seems to be puzzling but I was referring to the things that she did to my past life and today and how she and my father planned to assassinate my grandparents.
"What are you talking about?"
"Nothing, I love you, grandma," I immediately changed the topic before I end up spilling it all. "Love you too, darling," she hugged me back and sighed, "as the time pass by..." she lifted up my head, "...you're becoming more and more like your mother," she tapped my nose lightly and chuckled.
"Oh look at the time, it's time to prepare dinner," she stood up and I followed her but fell to the ground.
'I don't know how I ran earlier but suddenly it's as if all the strength in my legs has drained up, is this the consequence for my past life where I didn't walk for almost a year?'
'Well if it is then I better get therapy, but of course with myself only,'
"You don't have to force yourself, Louise, if you can't then don't. Don't force yourself," she said seriously. "But how can you accomplish things if you don't try to force yourself out of your limits?" I smiled but she didn't, instead, she just sighed.
"Haaah, you're like your mother in many ways," she said while setting my hair aside. "I know," I smiled. Even when in her hard times, she would remind me how I exactly looked and behaved like my mother and I didn't hate it for once. "But keep this in mind Louise that if you can't then don't," she sternly said before walking out and that's where I switched myself before I time travel, how I really was when I was trapped in that hospital. I slowly stood up, holding the chair where my grandma sat for support and after many tries, I finally did it. With the help of the chair, I slowly made my way to the mirror until I didn't need it anymore.
'So this is how I looked,'
In my younger years, I was the typical sweet and cheerful girl that you encounter everywhere. Cute, beautiful and youthful but starting today, I'm gonna change it all and even change how fate will bring me to my demise.
