*Saphira's POV*
We both landed in the water with a big thud. In the fall he had let go of me and a big wave pulled me under. Another wave whooshed over me and pulled me in even deeper. I tried to remember which way was up again but I was too late. It went dark and there was nothing.
As I regained consciousness, I felt that my throat hurt badly from the salt of the ocean. It burned my whole body. Then I noticed someone was on top of me, pumping the water out of my body while pressing on my stomach. It really hurt a lot. I wanted to scream but I had no voice. Then he pressed his lips on mine and started to breath warm air inside of me.
I opened up my eyes. It was Benjamin.
"You're safe now," he said. "I'm here. I've got you love," he chanted to me over and over again while we sat in the back of a car. Benjamin held me very close now. My whole body burned but I tried to concentrate on his scent.
