That night fever set in as sweat drenched skin. I could hear kinsley and the old doc arguing" the dagger that Pierced her side is laced with gargle bane and reaper tears .
"Gargle bane is a poisonous toxin to the eleven kind. In high doses it may disolve all internal organs into a puddle like state. that why it's called "acid root!!.,,for a reason "kinsley screeched as she flailed her arms in his face. He took off his wide rimmed glasses she vented her displeasure. " Doc, will she make it through the night.
"Yes, she will survive she will be in immense pain throughout the night. she may be barren as a result of the outcome of the both types of poisons. you will have to tell the king before the ceremony. That there will be no heir bore from the princess and whatever outer land prince she chooses. Even if the princess has a voice of an angel and a soul of a warrior . No man willingly and knowingly wants to marry a barren wife." the doctor started .
tears stung the corner of my eye at his blunt diagnosis as he left. Kinsley patted my hand as I furiously swiped the reminence of the tears. I swiftly rose to a sitting position making sure she didn't know about the pain. " princess your not suppose to be up!"

I winced as I threw my legs over the side of the bed. I crossed the floor on shaky legs towards my wardrobe. I gathered my battle gear and readied myself for training.
"Princess, your feverish you need your rest." she pleaded. I let out an audible sigh as I pulled on my boots. " kinsley don't wait up !" I commanded I climbed to the ledge as I have done countless of time. " kinsley don't tell my father anything I will tell the princes myself so they have time to cancel the wedding.
I jumped from the window but I didn't gracefully land upon my feet. More or less I gracefully fell upon my knee. I felt instant pain from the impact jarred my other knee also . I slowly limped to the field stopping at the locked doors.
I rattled the doors in my frustration a linked chain held the door shut. " no this can't be happening not tonight" I screamed into the night as I sweat-soaked my brow. The lock at the bottom of both chairs clanked against the door. Making a loud clatter as I shook the door trying to gain entrance.
" atlas is that you?" I asked and audibly sighed echoed d within the silence of the night.A twine rope from beside the training doors swung down .The end of the rope landed upon the toe of my boot. I looked up to see familiar hooded figures he chuckled " yes but you already knew that. hold the rope and I will pull you up." he spoke in a sing-song tone.
For once in my life I listened to his command and grabbed the rope. Atlas effortlessly pulled my up as if I didn't weigh anything. When I finally reached the top of the wall he balanced upon the edge and jumped. I followed his example and jumped. I landed as I had done before but slightly harder.
I groaned under my breath as he took my arm" no training for you tonight my lady." on any other circumstance I would pull free from his hold. I embraced his generous help as he lowered me onto the soft plush grass .in the center of the training ring the only thing that lite up the sky. Is the vast sky of countless of stars. I lay upon my back and gazed at them as a star shot across the sky above. Maybe it was the fever making me delusional or I just wanted to feel a connection with someone other than my maids. I blurted out as silence we ended upon us.
" it's crazy but in the short time I have known you I feel as if I could bear my soul to you."

"Atlas I came here tonight a night before my intended engagement to tell you". The words got lodged within my throat. " goodbye."
He rolled upon his belly and hovered beside me upon his elbows. his silver curls hung down loosely I reached out at touched it. My fingertips brushed across his cheek. He didn't pull away or flinch at my touch. He let me trace his facial features within the dark learning every inch of his face. His breath harsh as I brush past his lips. If this was to be my first kiss then thank the gods it's with someone I care for.
"Then if this is goodbye then we should seal this moment with a kiss" atlas said. his lips softly brushed against mine . There was no fireworks or an explosion of passion. It was just to lips touching each other.
I felt momentarily saddened at the fact that I didn't feel anything. " run away with me forget all of this lets run away and get married. I will give you as many kids as your heart desires I will make you happy.. Please aurora.. He pleaded as guilty built up with in my core"Atlas " rolled onto his back waiting patiently for an answer.
In the darkness no one could see my tears. " atlas you don't want a wife who can't... I am barren." I spat out as he gathered my into his arms and let me cry upon his shoulder til. " I would love you to the end of my days and still love you even then after my last breath. Choose me " he pleaded as Exhaustion over came me." I'm sorry atlas.. "This is not goodbye aurora far from it "he confidently stated as he effortlessly scaled the wall. He winked at me before he jumped over the wall. Leaving me alone once again to my thoughts.
