Chapter 43 - 43. mole

As soon as Luther sat down in his chair everything got serious. Lucas came barging in like he was ready to tear something apart.

"You know I thought you would've been alittle more happy now that we have automatic loyalty from a good number of council members." Luther said not at all brightening up Lucas's mood.

"You had it easy. I had to baby sit Kye for hours. You know he complained for a whole hour straight. And he punched me." Lucas said with total hatred. Luther accidently laughed alittle earning him a glare that could destroy dimensions if looks could destroy.

"It couldn't have been that bad. Do you need a drink lil brother?" Luther asked using the endearment he always use to use before Mazaya messed with them. "Actually I could use a drink. So how are the numbers looking?" Lucas asked with alittle less hostility in his voice.

"Not good." Luther said as he poured two glasses of hellfire scotch. This reply had Lucas's full attention. He knew Luther would explain so he wasn't one to ask pointless questions. He took the drink Luther gave him and downed it, needing another one in seconds. This was going to be a long day. He could feel it.

As Luther went to pour another one he started to explain. "Only alittle over half of The dark counsel members accepted the blood oath. So that's nerve reckoning. My theory is someone's aiming for power on the side lines. I would've guessed Bobby if he didn't accept the blood oath today. This is bad almost as many light Gods accepted the blood oath as dark. That's saying something." Luther started before taking another shot.

"So our theory was right. Someone from our side was feeding Mazaya doubt and most likely Gave The God of Light the pictures. Kye is obviously a dead end. Everyone knows he was madly in love with Mazaya and you kind of took her from him." Lucas said mocking. Every God knew that Kye loved Mazaya so when word went around that Mazaya was engaged to Luther let's just say, that did not go so well.

"Yea that's the obvious part, the problem is who. As of today it's only us and bobby in the loop. Every piece of information we give anyone else will be fake. I want to first ask all high table members to do the blood oath though. Anyone who denies it is a suspect." Luther said with pure determination in his voice.

"So I was thinking we give all dark and light Gods the option to do a blood oath. We start narrowing it down. It might not even be a council member. It's highly doubtful but still plausible. Unless you just keep it in your pants forever." Lucas said with a huge grin on his face. Being with one Goddess for an eternity was like wearing the same shirt your whole life and never switching it.

"My wife would be the one Goddess in the universe that doesn't like sharing and will not accept anything but faithfulness, it's not even funny Lucas. I'm a God for Gods sake." Luther said not at all laughing at this fact. It angered him that Gods were fucking with his life. If his wife didn't want to share fine but to have Gods reporting back to her was pissing him off.

"You know it makes sense though. She's beyond powerful. Imagine if she allowed you to mess around but she went around like alot of the other Goddesses. I think you would take it just as bad as her. You're possessive of her. It's a blessing and a cure that she's not like any other Goddess." Lucas said. Luther had to admit it was true. Mazaya was his and he had killed Gods for flirting with her before.

"For now I'll only have sex with Goddesses that did the blood oath. It's the next best thing next to being faithful. I wonder has any Light God ever been faithful? I mean I haven't heard of it." Luther said. Lucas shook his head.

"Doubt it. If they had it had to be a low rank God that no Goddess wants. I couldn't imagine living forever with one Goddess." Lucas said as he went deep in thought.

Luther took his absentmindedness as a good time to check up on Mazaya. As he got near the bed he noticed how good she looked in it. Like this was were she always belonged. He sat down next to her and started rubbing her head. She looked In pain but also at peace. When she woke up she would be more at peace than she ever had been. And now that The Goddess of memory and The Goddess of emotions devoted complete loyalty to him she would never be able to run away again.

"I promise that when you wake up I will make sure I keep the real world away from you. You will only be happy. I will never let you go again." Luther vowed as He kissed her and teleported back. When Luther got situated in his seat he looked up to The God of Good Fortune sitting down. Now was time to get to business.

"So you said you had memories that would explain why Mazaya made you believe you were a different type of God . Let's see them." Luther said not beating around the bush and getting straight to business. The God of Good fortune just shook his head while thinking of the memory that would explain it all.
