Once Amir arrived in Kansas, Kevin informed Amir that Theo was going to be staying with their group for the next few days.
Amir waited two days for Theo to show up. From Amir's calculations, Theo's trip was too long.
Amir wouldn't upfront say he 'dislikes' Theo, but because of their differences. Amir never wanted anything to do with him. Amir would give Theo the minimum courtesy necessary as a coworker/comrade, and not an inch more.
Theo on the other hand loves messing with Amir. He loves the way Amir reacts to every little thing in the cutest ways. His annoyed faces are the best!
"Theo, don't go anywhere," Amir says, emphasizing the importance, "The boss will be here soon."
Amir was coming close to biting his fingernails. Theo gives him a ton of anxiety.
"Where would I go? My best friend is right here!" Theo grins, pulling Amir into a hug.
Amir slapped him away, "Get off!"
Theo sits down on one of the beds in their hotel room.
"Soo... we just gonna wait?" Theo begins bouncing on the bed.
"God, Theo, just be still for a second," Amir says, already getting stressed.
"How about this, we check the area?"
"For what, the girl!?"
Theo jumps to his feet, making Amir cry inside.
"No! Let's go eat!" Theo grabs Amir's wrist and drags him to the door.
The other two members watch as Amir gets dragged away.
"Are you crazy!?" Amir says, yanking his wrist back from Theo.
Theo starts pondering the question.
"Not yet!" he says, then grabs hold of Amir again.
"Theo, sunrise is in an hour!" says Amir.
"Then walk faster!" Theo quips, letting Amir's wrist go before disappearing into an alley.
"You gotta be kidding!?" Amir mutters, stopping in front of the entrance, "I just know he's going to get himself into trouble. Or is he doing one of his pranks again?"
The smell of blood starts to drift out of the alley, kicking in a hunger Amir knows all too well.
Amir is the calculating one in the team. He may not be the best tracker, but his strategies make up for it.
Theo ran into an alley. By now the smell of blood is strong in the alley.
'Knowing Theo he most likely did not have his surroundings in mind,' Amir thinks, 'I need to mask the smell.'
Amir slides on a gas mask and pulls out a citric acid spray bottle he begins to spray as he walks into the alley. Knowing citric acid isn't enough, Amir pulls out his homemade 'Piss away'.
Misting the area around him, forming toxic clouds into the alleyway. Amir knows once you smell it, it never stops hurting and he needs to act fast.
Amir continues to spray, until out of nowhere, Theo pops out stumbling and tearing up.
"Quit, that hurts," Theo hisses, keeping his distance.
"Then get your butt to the hotel!" Amir barks through his mask, holding up the bottle ready to spray Theo.
'Since Theo wants to act like an animal I'll treat him like one.'
"Let's go!" Amir says, still aiming at Theo.
Theo slumps still rubbing his eyes.
"You're no fun," he says, marching away like a toddler.
"Shut up and don't touch your eyes!" Amir growls, "We only have 30 mins until sunrise, I could've left you here to die."
Amir and Theo begin to make their way back with Theo walking in front and Amir behind still holding up the spray bottle.
After they make it back, Amir and the others lock Theo in the bathroom, knowing that when everyone's asleep Theo will somehow get himself into trouble.
"This really isn't needed, I also need sleep," Theo says petulantly, his voice muffled by the door.
"Sleep in the tub," Amir quips back, flipping off the lights and double-checking the blinds.
"Sleep tight Theo," Amir says mockingly, before laying in bed.
Kevin and Kai show up the next evening, the second dark falls.
After Kevin assigns work, Theo confesses, not only that he drank human blood but also that he was caught doing it. Amir was shocked to see how stupid Theo is. He couldn't believe Theo snitched on himself.
'Theo has done stupid things but this is by far the stupidest.'
Amir looks in Kevin's direction pleadingly, 'Never leave me alone with Theo again!'
Kevin turns away pretending not to notice.
