I looked at Asteria and said "He's more of an asshole than your brother"
Asteria blinked her big eyes and said "....I am honestly surprised myself...he didn't even crown one woman as the queen…..his paronia runs really deep."
In Anatatos, queen is also almost as much powerful as the king himself. That's why someone as paranoid as the current king wouldn't dare to crown even his most beloved woman as the queen.
Mei who was hearing all this frowned and said "There is something deeper scheme involved here....I can feel it."
Out of all of us Mei was probably the oldest one that's why her instincts couldn't be wrong.
Asteria and I fell into contemplation hearing Mei's words.
"Maybe that guy has some dealings with northern polar alliance?" I said after a long time.
Asteria's eyes flashed with surprise before she stood up and said with an angered expression "He truly is that wretched man's descendant! This is practically rebellion! Does he not know how much the people have suffered under the chaos caused by alliance?! Let's go Yuan, we'll kill him in front of people in royal court itself!"
Asteria's rage shook the entire star shook from it's axis. Waner was so scared that he knelt with his head touching the ground, even Mei got a bit surprised.
I sighed as I looked at her. The grudges of the people who suffered under the alliance is quite a heavy burden to carry. Even before the revolution when the Anatatos galaxy wasn't the number one in cosmos, people in the northern border were always preyed upon by the alliance since they are a very old organization who are actually quite similar to thugs.
But that still doesn't change the fact that they have two entire stellar fields under there control and hold very high amount of military power and natural resources. But, as the Anatatos galaxy entered the revolutionary era, the things changed and they were pushed out of the borders.
Since then throughout the years they have always tried to ensue chaos inside the galaxy and even tried many ways to cause the downfall of economy here.
But the heroic deeds of Asteria during these times and her military campaigns against them completely killed their hopes of ever thinking about coming back again. This was one of the reasons why people of this galaxy looked up to her as God. The powers she displayed was something their small minds couldn't fathom.
Still the Northern Polar Alliance could be said to be the arch nemesis of Anatatos Galaxy.
For Asteria, who has been there with those people in the north. lived with them, talked to them amd understood their problems...…her hate for alliance is through the roof.
The mere thought of the monarch of Anatatos Galaxy to secretly ally with the people of alliance is enough to anger her.
She is kind to her people after all.
I pulled her by her hands and took her to my embrace, patted her head while repeating "Calm down!"
She calmed down after a while and said "What do you think we should do Yuan?"
I caressed her hair slowly and said while smiling "Now I know how the alliance got the courage to suddenly attack all those years ago...…they probably must have been allied all the way back when he was still the prince.....when we were in war with alliance the whole royal court was suspended at that time in order to commemorate those who sacrificed their live for the galaxy. I guess during that time only he cleared out the competition for throne, didn't he?" I asked while looking at Waner.
Waner eyes widened as he closed them for a bit to think about it.
Sometime later he opened them again and said while nodding solemnly "...…..Crown Prince really was killed around that time."
I looked at Asteria and said "Because you weren't able to figure out his intention and the cause of the uprising of alliance he probably thought you were not much of a intellect and actually gave you poison on his crowning ceremony."
Asteria nodded her head and said "...…..yes, you're right"
Mei looked at us and asked curiosily "Why were you both unable to discern his intentions? Aren't you both smart enough to see through this childish scheme?"
Asteria and eye looked at each other's eyes and looked away with blushing cheeks.
Waner said to Mei "They were too into each other at that time to care about petty schemes."
Mei was surprised by his words but soon understood the meaning as she giggled like a child.
Only after saying did he realise that he f*cked up as Asteria was glaring at him so hard that his body trembled instinctively.
I quickly said to him "Leave or she will kill you dude."
He immediately bowed to Asteria nd left while sweating and staggering.
"...…this guy is still funny." I said while looking at his back.
Asteria said while humphing "He's still an idiot though."
"How do you say we go with this?"
I though for a while as I looked at her and said "....we'll go to the current alliance master and get him to spill the beans then take hard evidence, summon the public court bring him to trial with brute force by your authority as the goddess. Then we present the evidence to people kick his ass in front of the people and kill him them and there. Visit your brother cast a curse on him to prevent him from thinking ill towards anyone. Sounds like a plan?"
Asteria smiled with a crazy look in her eyes and said ".....totally crazy, but I like it!"
"What do you think Mei?" She aksed Mei.
Mei smile coldly and said "I say let's kill that scoundrel...I haven't done something thrilling since trillions of years..."
Asteria said to me "Take out the spaceship let's head to northern borders"
I flicked Asteria's head "Don't forget about the child teacher!"
She rubbed her head with a wronged look on her face and said "Ow! That hurt!...Ah yes! Explain how to do it once again I can't afford to mess this up!"
Mei laughed seeing her antics and said "Asteria is very cute!"
