(This is in in 1st person POV)
I used my divine consciousness to check if anything changed in my body and was surprised to see that nothing changed.
"Hmmm.....this must be because I cultivated the
As the name suggests the technique was made on the principle of constellation and asterisms. The way stars naturally line up is the random yet it is still the
most mystic thing in this cosmos. Astrology is a subject that I have been obsessed with since I started my journey. The alignment of stars follow a very basic yet complex set. Many years of calculations and hard work was put into this subject.
Stars as we know are formed by cosmos to obey a principal called fate. That's why people mistake the origin of astrology to be fortune-telling. Which is in fact partially correct. Though the truth is that, the ancestors of star spirit race and elve race made this subject together for different reasons.
Star spirit race made it in order to understand their cultivation technique better. While the elves made it in order to read fortune as they were obsessed with longevity.
Those who pursue eternity are the ones with most determination so they told the people that the subject focused on fore-telling the future.
Thus astrology became more about reading date than actually studying about stars.
I, on the other hand was actually a child of stars. So, I did many researches as to why some races who claim to have connections with stars can attain power higher than normal species.
The results I found were shocking. Fate actually is the highest source of energy in the universe. The river of space-time and even the origin itself were made because of fate. It was the highest overlord in cosmos.
It isn't controlled by any entity, nor the cosmos. But by the stars itself. The stars align in a way that move, create and destroy fates.
Fate energy is the mother of all forces present in the cosmos. And by understanding the stars and feeling them through their laguage I formed a cultivation technique which allowed me to cultivate the fate energy or as I call it destiny chaos.
Destiny for fate and chaos because you can bring out any form of energy with this as catalyst. Except mana of course. Why? Well that's a story for another day.
"Purple Firmaments...huh that's going to take a while..."
Cultivating this art is easy. You just have to wait and as the time passes and as the constellations appear your cultivation will advance itself. It's a cheat.
"Of course no one alse but me can cultivate it"
Since I had most compatible physique and bloodline for this and my soul was tenacious enough.
I looked around to see if there was anything broken because of the impact. "Nothing got broken huh.....that's a first."
Since the arts I cultivated only wrecked havoc inside his body nothing outside changed or got broken.
"Let's go and see how my cute wife is doing"
A smile formed on my face as I thought about Mei.
The time I spent with her when I was young became vivid to me after I started cultivating since my existence solidified. Even though my emotions were sealed back then I stilled loved to tease her and many feelings became clear after I left Gu Tian.
The only reason I left back then was because my thirst for knowledge getting bigger every day and growing faster than my emotions. My rationality told me to pursue knowledge though my soul screamed for me to stay with her. Since my rationality was always higher than my emotions I couldn't hold it back for a long time. After fighting for millions of years....I lost the battle.
I sighed as I thought about it.
"I owe you too much Mei...."
Short Story :-
These days Mei was often dazed and sad. Sometimes she would leave the house at the middle of night to cry on the mountains or tears would spill from her eyes while reading the book written by young Yuan.
Today as they were sitting on the pavillion atop the mountain Mei and Yuan were looking at each other, both dazed and unaware of each other's gaze.
Yuan suddenly woke up and moved his body he curled up in Mei's embrace before asking.
"Mei Mei....what if...one day after leaving Gu Tian I return back?... Will you wait for me?"
Though his tone was soft and silent, anyone could tell that the boy was scared.
Mei woke up from her daze as she buried her face in his neck to prevent him from seeing her face.
"I will wait for you till the end of eternity.... I know what is preventing you from staying.....but the pain in my heart.....it just doesn't go away....."
Sobbing sound could be heard as Mei finally lost her composure and began cring on his neck.
A pained expression formed on Yuan's face. He knew something is preventing him from feeling the same pain Mei is feeling. He hated this. He hated the fact that Mei is suffering alone. This caused him to feel pain greater than parting.
"Don't cry Mei Mei..... I will come back.....your Yuan will never leave you alone..."
A tear drop spilled from the corner of his eyes. As he hugged her tightly his arms shaking a bit as If scared.
Mei nodded and hugged him tightly too and bgean caressing his hair to calm him down.
Both fell asleep while listening to each other's heartbeat which calmed them down.
