'Leo, let him go,'
'Oh for gods sake,'
'People are watching us,' Zara yelled while she tried to pull him back.
'So what, let them watch me put some sense into this shithead,' came his angry reply
' No you wont,' she replied quickly. He was really strong, he could not even budge him.
Leo gave her an angry glare and it was her que to shut the hell up. She finally gave up as the Policija came to them and made him let go of the cab drivers collars. The guy started speaking in Croatian cooking up a story which was surely in his favour but the way he was dressed up was certainly in theirs thought Zara. He looked quite hungover.
'Zara what is he saying?' asked Leo angrily ready to break his nose.
He is saying that you attacked him first ( which was true) but she thought not to say it to him. But the guy was not innocent either.
She did not respond and started speaking to the police man in Croatian, though she was not very good at it but she managed to explain it to them what actually happened.
The fact that when she was about to get off the car the taxi driver did not wait and started to drive and Zara fell as her one leg was still inside the car.
Thankfully she did not get hurt and Leo came over next to her immediately and asked the driver a bit sternly that he should have not been so impatient and should have driven off after making sure that Zara had gotten off.
The driver instead of saying sorry, had said 'yebemti bok mater, okay okay ,' thinking them being a foreigners they did not understand anything. But ofcourse having Croatian friends Leo understood and went towards his side of the car and pulled him out by his collar and pushed him towards the car while he held him by the cruff.
She was not of any help in making him stop but the police came running and helped the driver escape from Leo's clutches.
Thankfully they did not fine them or anything and let the driver go which further exasperated Leo but Zara stopped him by shouting at him. They were bickering like children.
The policemen seemed irritated by them and quiteky walked out nooding their head and one of them even swore under his breath which did get noticed by Leo and he was about to go after the young guy. But Zara literally attacked him and Leo almost tripped taking her along with her.
They were both sitting on the pavement.
Zara was huffing.
'Leo please, stop. '
'Please,' she said looking up at him urgently.
He finally stopped and she could tell he wanted to say something but he just exhaled and got up started walking towards the co sharing place Ash had booked.
He then stopped and looked back at her and tilted his head at her signalling, let's go.
Then he noticed she was still on the ground. She saw a moment of reckoning on his face and he walked back to her and helped her up.
'Sorry, i got caught up in my anger.'
' You are so unpredictable, you know,' she said.
'And you are so careless,' he stated calmly.
'No i am not, ' she retaliated as they entered.
'Zara,' screamed Martin who ran towards her like a bulldozer and was stopped in his tracks as Leo stood infront . He almost crashed into him but somehow no one fell.
'Martin, where are the excels i asked you to finish and mail me?' Leo asked him while he folded his arms.
'On it boss,' he replied as he sluggishly went back to another table to complete his pending work.
Zara just waved hello to him and went towards to where Ash and Aaji were seated.
Aaji was seated opposite to Ash with his hands over his face leaning towards her and smiling at her like a child, grinning from ear to ear. Ash on the contrary was immersed in her Laptop.
'Hello, again, said Zara as she settled herself beside Aaji on the table and took out documents which she kept in front of her.
'Thanks for bringing these,' Ash thanked her and went back to her work.
'So Zara, i have been thinking of heading towards this lake called Jarun.
' Would you like to join me?'
'Umm … sure , its just that i need to get these papers back to the office and then i have to go to the notary. After that…' she hesitated.
Maybe she could get Aaji to open up and discuss his vision with her.
'You are not allowed to go anywhere until we are done with sorting out your paperwork and you need to submit your synopsis.'
'I told you i will do it after i have seen the city,' he complained to her.
'I need to have a look around, breathe in the vibe of Zagreb and see the coast here as well.'
'I have heard it's very beautiful here!'
'What say Zara, let's go island hopping.'
'Umm… yeah but its a little early for that now,' she did not know how to say no to him.
He had this ease about him which came about naturally.
'Hold it Kanji, you need to finish with us. Once everything is drafted then you can do whatever you want,' said Leo as he settled down.
'Okey dokey,' he says as he settle down. And everyone was quite for a few seconds and were again interrupted by Aaji.
'But i am hungry,' and everyone just give him a death stare except Zara.
Who just ignored everything and got up to take a call from Ivana.
'Yes, Auntie. '
' I just handed them the docs, though i think they haven't worked out on the synopsis. But the signing would be done soon and then i will take the documents to the notary as soon as they sign them.'
'Its okay dear, Mr Dias looks carefree but he is actually quite the perfectionist,'came the breezy reply.
'He has a name in the art world, infamous it maybe, i heard they had to spend a fortune to get him.'
'He seems easy on the eyes but don't be fooled,' she interjected again yet subtly.'
'Okay, sure. I will keep in mind,' Zara replied seriously.
She put the phone down and looked back and found Ash towering behind her. 'I will go with you to the notary. '
'Oh wait, were you listening to me on phone,' asked Zara a bit irritated.
'Not that i could help it and i needed to get the work done because i fear Aaji might bale the moment he gets.'
'He has a habit of running off, so i want to finish the paperwork asap so that i don't have to deal with your boss,' stated Ash as she checked her watch.
'Later we can grab some lunch together.'
'Sure, let me get my things.'
She went back to the table to grab her things.
'I am off with Ash, see you around.'
'Sure,' says Aaji smilingly.
Leo looked up at her from his phone and just looked at both of them.
'Later,' he said and went back to his phone.
They both walked out smartingly ready to take over the city which was full of cafes and pubs.
But they did not stop like all did( which was the usual norm ) as they had to finish the task at hand quickly.
