"Wait for me and don't go anywhere," Mira said in a serious voice before going behind the door.
Ayana nodded then turned around and looked at the portal. Small portals like this usually don't last long. When the energy from the blood and black diamonds was finally drained, the portal would close on its own with an explosion.
Ayana turned her head towards the door where Mira had disappeared. She tapped her fingers impatiently before looking back at the portal. She then took a breath and slowly exhaled, hoping that her actions would ease the anxiety that had begun to plague her again.
Ayana turned a third time towards the door and there was still nothing there. She frowned and looked down to see the watch on her hand. She sighed when she realized it had been five minutes since Mira had disappeared behind the door.
