"A bookworm? I thought you would be someone who loves to go to evening parties or the likes," Orion's voice was heard.
Ayana pretended not to listen and looked down on her book.
"Sister," Bryana called her sister almost in a whisper voice. A hint of frustration could be heard in her voice.
Ayana pretended not to hear her and focused on the book. She was glad that her voice was not too loud so she could make some excuse if her sister confronted her about her attitude later.
"Hey, miss Noella. I am talking to you," Orion said once again, making Ayana's hand itched to throw the book on the man's face.
Is it too late to take out my earbuds now? Ayana contemplates as she keeps her eyes on the book. She could not read in this kind of environment.
