Somehow Ayana already knew she would get such a reaction and ignored Byana's attitude.
Xavier just stared at the two in confusion. Even though Bryana had previously told him that she would apologize in a regretful tone, when Ayana finally appeared, Xavier could see a clear glint of hatred and reluctance in Bryana's eyes. He had never seen Briana looked at someone like that.
"Would you like to be left alone to talk for a while?" Xavier asked to break the thick silence between them.
"No."
"Yes."
Both answered at the same time. Xavier was a little surprised by both of her granddaughter's answers. Just when he thought Bryana would be the reluctant one to let him go away, it was his beloved granddaughter who needed privacy to talk with his sister. As for Ayana, Xavier already has a little idea why the woman answered like that.
