The assassin takes out his bronze daggers, stabbing behind him without looking. The shade-cloaked figure behind quickly retreats and summons his blood-bound spear. Still holding Aya's cutlass, he throws it toward the rushing, short black-haired woman.
Aya reaches out and grabs the cutlass as she now stands close next to the murderer of her crew. Wielding the blade with dexterity and swiftness, she attacks the yellow-eyed assassin.
Thrust, thrust, slash, thrust, slash, slash. With an ever-changing attack patron, she strikes, her moves rough but efficient.
The assassin, unable to create distance with his injured leg, wields his two daggers to defend himself from this onslaught of attacks. Still nimble and dexterous as he often dodges the attacks whilst only using his upper body. His sickly eyes look for the opportune moment to strike as a thrust of Aya takes her in very close proximity. Not leaving this chance be, the assassin strikes, aiming for her neck and her heart. The captain however goes for a kick, landing a hit in the nether region, before using her free hand to push away from one of the daggers as she dodges the other one.
Secessus using his wings made of darkness and infused with blood also rushes toward the assassin. Blood-bound spear in hand, he goes for the other leg, trying to strike non-fatally. The assassin uses one leg to jump over the figure attacking him from behind. Seeing his two opponents, he takes out this rusted dagger and stabs it in the kneecap that was wounded. The rusted dagger still embedded in the knee, he begins to stretch the leg.
"Kiher will not be pleased." The assassin says slowly, his sickly eyes now looking at his targets.
Aya and Secessus rush toward him, one taking the right whilst the other takes the left. The assassin using his regained dexterity dodges and moves around his attackers. Putting them in difficult angles as they are unable to encircle him properly. During this chase, Sol decides to stand behind Aya as she continues her attack. Her wild and unpredictable fighting manner seems to have some success as she manages to strike the assassin square across his face. Any counter-attack is impossible, as Sol and his spear are prepared for any sudden movement.
The assassin grabs his bloodied nose as he sees the situation unfold before him. Realizing the situation has to change, he goes to attack. He lands between his attackers and goes for the one wielding the spear. Not leaving any reach between them, he dexterously comes to stand before the shade demon. With his two daggers, he continues to strike at a fast pace, only aiming at possible vital spots with every attempt. This however leaves his back wide open, which Aya immediately uses to strike with her Cutlass, slashing through the black robe he wears as the blade cuts deeply. Ignoring this wound, the assassin continues to try to kill the spear wielder.
'Is he trying to even the odd by getting one out of the picture?' The spear-wielding shade demon tries to figure out his opponent's plan. The cutlass of the captain again slashes the back of the assassin deeply. Not able to ignore his sustained wounds any longer, the assassin throws one dagger at each opponent and sprints away.
The daggers are both easily blocked by each target as Aya catches the dagger thrown at her whilst Secessus simply dodges. The assassin that is now fleeing, seemingly choosing to live another day, takes out another bronze dagger. This time, he stabs himself in the shoulder blade as the assassin runs at incredible speed before diving toward the water.
Aya rushes behind as Secessus continues to stand still. He instead summons strings made out of darkness, blood flowing from beneath his fingernails.
Just before the assassin reaches water, the strings of darkness surround him, grabbing him and not letting go. They also immediately pull out the bronze daggers embedded into the assassin. Nullifying any possible tricks they might still hold.
Having captured, the yellow-eyed assassin Secessus looks toward the 6 dead crewmen and especially Ders lying there in an eternal slumber.
He knew this would happen, it's inevitable when dealing with an experienced assassin. Especially when both leaders are inexperienced in dealing with such an event. Ergillaz would always deal with such manners, making sure that no attempt could even be taken.
It should have been different, they should have prepared more. Did they truly try their best to save these lives, or did they forfeit them for this battle? With an unsteady mind, Sol walks next to Aya the captain of these 6 dead men.
Her copper eyes still blaze with rage, even the strikes she managed to hit did not lessen her anger.
"Do you want to ask him something? You wanted him alive." Sol says breaking the stillness on this lake.
"He won't talk. You can tell that from the way he fights." Aya responds dejectedly as she sheaths her cutlass.
"Do what you must." She says, as she goes to her death crew, closing their eyes and putting all their possessions even deeper in their pockets.
"What are you doing?" Secessus asks, still holding the assassin with his strings of darkness.
"Giving them their possession before I throw them overboard. It's how I've always buried them. They're seamen, a more fitting grave doesn't exist." Aya explains as she attaches something heavy to the corpses. To make sure, they sink to the depths.
"I guess you're right. If you die at sea, you should do so in the water." Secessus replies as he turns to the assassin wielding his magic, he lowers the yellow-eyed short man. Head first, he dips him in the sea and pulls him back out to let him breathe again.
He looks pensively at his hand controlling this human life. Before he forces the assassin into the lake again. Holding his entire body underwater, he can see the assassin struggle for breath as water forcefully makes its way inside his body. His struggles are the only thing disturbing the lake of stillness.
"It's a beautiful place. Too good for you, in fact. So I hope that something comes to feed on your corpse." The shade demon mutters bitterly as he sees through the clear water the body of the assassin goes limp. He waits another 5 minutes, just to be sure, before commanding the darkness strings to take him down to the deepest depths of the lake.
