For the book, I will create several different languages. This will not be Tolkien-level quality, but still, I believe it will be beneficial. So that A you don't get annoyed when your mother language is being used grammatically wrong and B it helps freshen out the world and not connect stereotypes with certain cultures.
As you might have noticed, a lot of demonic things have German names. This means that the language they speak will be based on German. The language itself will be altered to fit the fantasy description. These names were also given before I made that decision and could be altered to completely fit the new grammatical style.
At the moment, there is one self-made language that you could have encountered.
The gibberish that the giant between realms was spouting. Believe it or not, this was based on two languages, Shona and Malay. It will follow general Shona's grammar and Malay structure of words. So yes, I didn't just smash my hand against the keyboard repeatedly. Keep in mind, that I will for convenience's sake also alter some things.
General rules:
Words will always end with a vowel.
You lay intonation on the end of every syllable. Almost as if one syllable is a word.
General structure:
The first letter is Shona variable of the word
afterward, the word is completed by the Malay version.
Then the last syllable will be switched from Malay to Shona version.
In case there is a word amount difference for example 1 word in Shona is 2 in Malay you just have to do the same thing as the words before. See bye below.
