In the days after this agreement between the pillars of this city, a lot of things occurred. Hudan Hakel was banished from the city, surprisingly enough, with quite little resistance. Restoration of the city itself was far slower, confusion and general distrust did not easily disappear, and the numbers of demons and devils has greatly declined. This caused a shortage of manpower and those who did still remain tried to stay hidden just in case of a false dawn.
Truly, only the servants under Ergillaz were helpful during this reconstruction. The majority of chimeras weren't acquainted with anything that didn't have to do with what an animal would do. Sozana also lent a helping hand using her telekinetic and hypnotic powers. Her attention span was however quite problematic, getting quite easily distracted during this process.
On the fifth day of this reconstruction, another meeting was held between the remaining pillars of the city. The council of sights had to be reformed with other members. It was decided that Treyah Tuldani would remain first sight and leader of the church, however this time he would only be joined by three other members. From the Talvit side, Argillis would join the council. A fallen angel seemed fitting for the occasion, as a being that can inherently use divine power. Sorzana didn't have an abundance of options, the most powerful succubus tended to not use followers and her enslavement quite often ended with madness or death. This led to her choosing a fellow succubus for the role. A succubus named Sarixia, someone on friendly terms with her, and a being competent enough to handle this sudden change. Lastly, the chimeras had to select a representative. They do have plenty of options. Just not any decent ones. The chimera that played his part as a translator during the battle called Ha was chosen for the task. For the simple reason that he might be the only chimera that can actually talk.
Lucille's Light after the turbulent invasion that it faced was finally starting to take shape again. The streets were slowly being filled once more, and the renewed power balance and calmer days have slowly begun to regrow trust from the citizens that were hiding. The bodies that filled the street have all been successfully disposed of thanks to the chimeras. The disposing process differed from every chimera, and some were disgusting.
The dremora siblings were allowed to stay at the Talvit estate. Their aid in the battle against Ulthris was probably a deciding factor in this decision. On the other hand, the smaller child called Abaddon took a bit more convincing. Whilst Tharnomath did vow for him, the cold-veined devil didn't seem too thrilled about it himself. Besides, there was one influential figure quite adamant against the idea.
"For what reason should that kid stay here, Eli? You don't even know him." Secessus asks, clearly disgruntled toward his younger sibling.
"Because he helped us! Besides, why should those two stay and not Abaddon?" Eli replies, pointing toward the dremora siblings.
"They only came here because of me. They didn't force themselves here, with some other intention."
"And Abaddon came here because of me. What's the difference?"
"He did not come here because of you. He came here for you. That's the difference!" Secessus yells out, getting quite annoyed.
Abaddon and the others are very quiet at the moment. The argument between the 2 reincarnations easily takes all the focus. Making the situation in this household quite uncomfortable.
"Why does nobody ever listen to me? First Tharnomath and now even you!" The small devil girl yells, greatly annoyed.
Having had enough of this argument, the small devil girl angrily walks toward her room. Idrilth who has apparently also survived this invasion swiftly follows her.
This leaves Abaddon, Tharnomath, Secessus, and a few others in the same room. An awkward atmosphere hangs in the air.
"You're Abaddon?" Secessus asks.
"Yes." Abbadon replies curtly.
Secessus emerald-colored eyes shine bright for a moment. Using appraisal to gain more insight.
-Death Reaper-
Name: Abaddon
Information:
[Reaper] [Forgotten] [Experimentation] [Damnation] [Faithless]
"There is surprisingly little to see. I would have expected more from an experiment of that freak." Secessus says in a grumpy tone, clearly still annoyed.
"What are you doing, boy?" The emerald-eyed shade demon comes closer toward the young reaper.
"Like already said, I am here because I helped you out and because I'm acquainted with Eloisa."
"Indeed, acquainted is a good word to describe it, I guess. Now, why are you here to suddenly meet your acquaintance?"
"I don't get what you're trying to say."
"She's been free for quite some time. But now you decided to show up? If you truly have only good intentions toward her. Then why didn't you help her?"
"I was busy." Abaddon replies, glaring at Secessus.
"Were you now? Doing what?"
"That's none of your business."
After this short, hot-tempered childlike discussion, both individuals continue to glare at each other.
"Do you know what I think?"
"I don't, and I'm starting to not even care."
"You come crawling toward your acquaintance when it was easy. When she was already protected and had finally begun to move on. You're using her for something. I guess you and Hudan have that in common."
The emerald-eyed shade demon's words infuriate Abaddon even more. Killing intent begins to subconsciously emit from the young reaper's body.
Noticing this killing intent, Tharnomath uses his ice magic to freeze everything except Abaddon's head. The golden-eyed devil is clearly trying to prevent the situation from escalating any further.
"I don't like, and you don't have to like me either. But I'll trust Eli's opinion and shall not actively try to throw you out. Besides, Tharnomath has surprisingly vouched for you. But let me give you a piece of advice. If I were you, I would continue staying "busy." Because if I notice any little misstep. I will kill you."
Secessus now turns around toward Tharnomath.
"Speaking of which, Tharnomath. You vouched for our new friend here. I can also trust you to take responsibility for any mishaps, right?" Secessus says, making it sound like he's asking, but it feels closer to a subtle command.
"I am a devil of my word. I will take responsibility if anything goes wrong."
"And how will you do that?"
"I'll kill him before he does anything stupid."
A smile appears on Secessus's face once more. Shifting the atmosphere in the room.
"Now that's all cleared up, I should go. I have an appointment to keep."
