The familiar boyish voice whispers into Eli's ear.
"AAAAAH!" A loud scream comes out of Eli's mouth. A scream that was only suppressed by her unconscious trauma and crippling fear.
The earth beneath their feet cracks by the unexpected force. The buildings that were already damaged because of the previous battles completely collapse. Everything in a radius of about 200 meters suffered a large amount of damage.
This includes the people in the radius. Invaders that have made their way towards Botwolf and the other fall down limp almost instantaneously. Their eardrums quickly shattered as their life soon followed. Some of the weaker demons even had their bodies contorted in a gruesome way.
Botwolf the wolf-like devil is visibly very hurt. As a feline devil his sense of hearing and smell are already enhanced, combine that with being in close proximity of this destructive scream and one can only conclude dire consequences.
Blood streams out of his ears and eyes as he pants on the ground, trying to regain any sense of self-control.
Hudan Hakel is blown away, a solid 30 meters. However, unlike the others he does not seem overly hurt by this sudden attack.
"Another reunion? What a sentimental day. Don't you think so, Abbadon?" Hudan speaks in a calm tone, acting like nothing happened.
The black haired boy glares back. The boy has an intimidating presence around him.
"Abbadon?" Eli calls out, remembering the few moments she shared with him.
Both kids were experimented upon and generally kept apart. The few moments they did manage to cross, Eloisa would try and sneak some food to him. They did not give Abaddon food for some reason and seeing the skeletal like frame a sense of pity and willingness to help always came forward within herself.
The boy looks much healthier now. He's no longer skinny, and his height has also increased drastically. The 2 kids that used to be the same height have a clear difference between them.
Abaddon looks at Eloisa, his pure white eyes are fierce and look hard to decipher. Behind Abaddon however, stills stands Hudan Hakel. Eloisa who once again has their torturer in her vision begins to freeze up again.
Black crow like wings come out from Abbadon's back, blocking Eloisa's vision.
"Don't look at him." Abaddon says as he moves closer towards Eloisa. Standing before her, he kneels down and rest his forehead on Eloisa's left shoulder.
"You haven't grown at all."
"What?" Eli asks back, clearly pissed off.
"Look how small you are. Weren't we the same height before?"
"I have grown! Besides, since when did you become so chatty? I've never heard more than a Word from you, and now you decide to actually speak. For what, to talk smack about my height!" Eloisa responds, her fear temporarily subsided.
A small smile appears on the face of Abaddon. A sight that Eloisa hasn't ever seen before.
"I've missed you." The boy says, looking straight into Eli's dark green eyes.
"How touching, it makes me proud to see my favorites get along so well." Hudan Hakel says, having moved closer, the sloshing sounds from his bloodied and rotten tentacles mixed in whilst he speaks.
Abaddon turns towards Hudan Hakel, still covering Eloisa's vision with his crow like wings.
"It's time to go home now, children." Hudan says whilst reaching out towards them.
His hand is still not visible as his robe covers it. But it does not continue closer towards the 2 children. Hudan visibly tries to move it closer, but a force is stopping him. Then 2 weak magics spells are cast upon him as 2 wraiths charge towards him, surprisingly skipping the children.
Hudan manages to quickly kill the 2 wraiths, as a small force of violet mana bursts out from his mask. Making the 2 wraiths dissipate in an instant.
Other footsteps approach swiftly, however, as more invaders walk towards him. They also all skip past the children and even the still breathing Botwolf on the ground.
"The one who manages to land a hit on him will get a special place in my heart!" A familiar seductive voice calls out.
Eloisa looks towards the source of the voice and sees Sorzana Soquil the most powerful succubus from Lucille's Light walk toward her. Her telekinetic powers aimed towards Hudan Hakel.
"Eloisa, you little rascal. Five minutes without supervision, and you've gotten yourself a boyfriend. Even I didn't start until a few years later." Sorzana Soquils says in a teasing tone, disarming the tense situation.
"It's not like that!" Eli responds, her face flushed red. Abaddon in response lays his head on Eli's shoulder again.
"Why and how did you find us anyway?" Eli asks, swiftly moving on from this embarrassing topic.
"Botwolf's cry is magical in nature. His loud howl can only be understood by those that will help the howl's objective. In this case, the howl meant a sign for help. However, not for himself, but a small devil girl under Talvit protection."
"That can all be heard in a howl?"
"Consider it a sort of way to transport a message. Speaking of which, why are you on the ground, wolfy?"
"I wanted to look closer at the soil… WHAT DO YOU THINK, WOMAN!" Botwolf replies prickly, having mostly recovered from Eli's attack.
"I'm disappointed Botwolf. Your sense of reason has diminished over these years." Hudan Hakel calls out calmly once more, having already disposed of all his weaker attackers.
"Did you not have a task to do, Hudan? Shouldn't you bear responsibility as a sight." The feline devil replies in a clear mocking tone.
"Follow me, Treyah Tuldani is waiting." Hudan simply replies as he walks away.
Botwolf follows the other sight of Luciel's church. His large hunchback frame swiftly moving past the 2 children.
"Thank you for your help!" Eli shouts out.
The feline sight ignores the shout as he moves out of sight.
"He's a good man, Botwolf. Boring, but a sincere man. You're lucky" Sorzana says towards Eli whilst patting her head in a comforting manner.
"Who's this kid, by the way. Your boyfriend?"
"No, no! He's someone who also got experimented upon!" Eli yells in a panicked response.
Swiftly, Eli puts her hands on her mouth, the fact that she has been experimented upon was meant to stay hidden. Only the Talvit brothers, her brother, Irdrilth and Cornelius should be aware. She was also warned by Tharnomath that some devils could take an unhealthy interest, so it was best to avoid the subject all together.
"Don't worry, I knew."
"How?"
"Ergillaz and I have a deeper relationship than you might think. Things tend to be told when you get deeply evolved with each other." Sorzana answers, still patting the small girl's head.
Funnily enough, Abaddon seems to be keenly listening. Noticing this, Sorzana whispers into Abaddon's ears.
"If you need any help with your clear infatuation, just know that you van ask me for advice."
"What would you get out of it."
"The reactions will be priceless." She says before bursting out in laughter, amusing herself with the possible future.
"What were you guys talking about?"
"Your friend told me a joke."
"I don't believe it."
"Tell her then, little boy."
"What?"
"Tell a joke, you know, humor is very important in a relationship."
Abbadon is visibly trying to think up a joke on the spot. However, the temperature around them quickly drops.Tharnomath approaches, walking next to some sort of bull chimera.
