Chapter 95 - Calmth passed by, Storm has arrived

A few more peaceful days passed by. Eli and Idrilth found and bought the blood they were so desperate for. For the other few days, I simply stayed in the Talvit estate. Accompanying different people: I played cards with Ashmodai, had conversations with Leilaya, Got Randyl out of trouble more times than I can count, Helped Eli with her training and Tharnomath would give me a summary in the evening discussing the changes in the city. The only ones I haven't seen are: Cornelius, Ergillaz and Sorzana.

Nothing noticeable has happened, there was a disturbance in the abandoned district, but nobody knows what exactly. There have also been more sightings of wraiths and lava stone orcs in Lucille's light. However, when investigated, there was not a necessarily abnormal amount of them present in the city. At least not enough to pose any threat.

The day was calm, even calmer than usual. I'm currently resting in the garden, flowers surrounding me, as I calmly listen to the noise that Lucille's light makes. Everyone else has already left to do something, Only Leilaya, Randyl and the servants still remain in the state itself.

Heightening my senses, I listen even more intently at my surroundings. The slightly shifting grass, the servants that are having a conversation, a drip of water falling from a leave onto a flower and the louder discussions in the upper district. I hear them all whilst simply looking towards the sky, the dark orange sky that's shifting towards red.

Some people around the estate are apparently fighting. A brawl is nothing unusual.

"AAAAAAH!" the defeated opponent yells in a piercing scream. My sense are so focused that I can even hear the blood streaming out of his body, making the road a dark red color.

One scream, two screams, four screams, 10 screams, 20 screams.

'This isn't normal.' I think to myself, hearing the screams multiply in rapid succession. The almost serene silence evolved to a normal brawl, but now it sounds like a battlefield. Feeling uneasy with the development of the screams. I make my way over towards the Talvit mansion, hoping that someone can clarify the situation.

Etering the luxurious mansion, all the servants are seemingly preparing themselves for battle. Seeing these normally always calm and collected people run around the place with slightly panicked looks is rather unnerving.

*BANG BANG*

The screams continue to multiply, accompanied by the sound of steel clashing against each other.

*BANG BANG*

I look towards the source of the banging sound. The front door is locked, but it seems like some outsiders are trying their best to break it down. The fallen angels that protect this place have engaged in combat, their red "holy" light clashing against the ethereal and orcish opponents.

2 Servants are desperately trying to keep the door closed. Panic and fear smeared across their face.

I summon my blood bound darkness spear as I make my way towards the ruckus.

"Open it." I command with an eerie calmth, my killing intent starting to seep out of my body.

The servants, that were scared by the opponents that wanted to make their way in, have now become absolutely mortified by my calm gaze and killing intent. They knew that I was someone important for their master, but that never meant that they were used to seeing me in battle. I became a commanding presence in this estate but never hostile, so perhaps that's why they look absolutely shaken.

Having processed my order, the 2 servants quickly lift the enchantments holding the gate shut and pull the door open.

The intruders did not expect such a sudden change, as the 3 lava stone orcs and 2 wraiths fall towards me. Noting the profiles of the intruders, I've finally gained a sense of what's going on.

Wielding my blood bound spear, I slash the five falling opponents horizontally. Killing them with one strike.

Having swiftly dealt with those 5, I look at the situation before me. Twenty fallen angels are fighting against the intruders. They have the numbers, however, seeing that I estimate their force to be around forty.

"It seems that Anima and Ulthriis have returned." I say out loud, my calm voice somehow attracts all the attention during their battle. All gazes turn towards me: The servants behind me, the fallen angels that are protecting the front of the estate, the lava stone orcs and even the wraiths.

Two thoughts begin to occupy my head. Is Eli safe, and where should I go? I know I'm supposed to fight that orcish brute, but how am I supposed to even find him in this city. Besides, I want to assure that Eli is safe before I even think about actually doing my part of the deal.

"I guess, I should start looking around." I say in an exasperated tone.

*Sighs*

a long sigh follows, showing my general discontent.

The ground beneath me turns dark. This darkness that I command spreads even wider, encompassing the entire small battlefield before me. I point with my right arm towards the direction of the battlefield. The forty intruders begin to panic as they push away the fallen angels that they were fighting to rush at me. Not out of confidence, fervor, belief or determination. Simply out of fear.

Seeing this rather pathetic sight occur, I simply flick two fingers of the hand that's pointing towards them. From the darkness below, blood bound darkness spears start to come out. Their sizes differ and they're all focused on the intruders.

In just a few measly seconds, only the sound of some dying moans and the splatter of blood remains. All forty intruders haven been impaled, none left alive.

"Argillis." I call out towards the fallen angel that I used to spar against some time ago.

"Yes, sir." He responds, trying to not shiver, as my aura of killing intent has not dissipated yet.

"Make sure that everyone arms themselves and lock the front door." I command.

"Secessus!" The voice of Leilaya yells towards me.

I look over towards the front door, where the blind seer stands.

"East." She simply says.

"very well." I respond, rather leisurely, not fitting my aura.

Turning around once more, I summon my darkness wings as I fly east.
