"I suggest letting one of us lead the other three to maximize the efficiency we could gather in both action and information management—"
"Ehhhh, boring! Shut yer flabbergasting word jumbling mumbo jumbo, let's just let each consciousness do to each of their own."
"So, anarchy?"
While the others are arguing, you as the most logical thinker from the three, immediately hijack the whole body again to reply the unsureness exuded by Lues. "Ah, just a mild headache, let's scout the battlefield more."
"I wonder if Laum is a cute girl or not," says the crimson devil, sneering a smile. "Joking aside, there is a chance that the Calamity is actually underground."
"Plausible. I'll command 10 of my clones to search for any wavelength underground and dig em up."
"Fufufu, that will do."
With the outside worldly matters being managed, you come back to the center of consciousness to see what those three are doing currently.
"Buffoon! You buffoon! All of you are buffoons!" says the short tempered one. The most annoying and lazy out of the bunch, instead of thinking how to solve the problem, this part of parallel minds is blaming and running away from the center core dilemma instead of doing something. "Regardless, one of us has already piloted the body, can I just watch? Thanks!"
"Nobody is allowing you! I would not allow any inefficient act within this mindframe! Go do something within the mana sea instead of going inactive!" says the one with the most leadership despite wanting all parts of the consciousness to act according to their maximum.
You can't help but feel pity for her. It's really unpredictable that every fragment of parallel sides takes a specific trait of the original soul. You as part of it feel slightly dismissive.
"So, the parallel mind has been set, d-do we follow one leader or act attentively?" says the one seemingly backing far away. The shy one are probably inheriting the social anxiety part of the consciousness.
"You!" She is referring to you, "The 'Logic'! You will be handling the physical vessel!"
"Okey dokey," you say nonchalantly.
Quick to adapt, she lets those who are actively solving the problem outside of the consciousness to be capable of steering the physical vessel. Now you know who's your ally in this predicament.
Being told of what need to do is assuring sometimes because it will be their responsibility when it comes to consequences. Of course, you will try to be dependable as you can and not be the annoying part of your consciousness.
"You!" The intelligent one points her part of the consciousness strings to the most far away conscience. "Control the mana sea's Guardian and handle some calculation the main body receives."
"Awawa, w-will do!"
"And you! Wait, don't build a wall within the center of consciousness!"
"Muahahaha! You all can work all you want! I'll just be sitting here on my throne with popcorn to watch everything being unveiled."
"Don't be selfish!"
With all of the shenanigans, you unofficially named three others parallel minds that are definitely not in unison. The one with great leadership will don the name of 'Brain', because you're imagining her as a nerd with glasses who constantly rumbling every detail she caught.
The unlikable consciousness will be referred to as 'Jacko' because she is a jackass. The shy one will be called 'Anxie' and you're hoping that she will stay away from the control in any type of conversation in the future.
'Heh, social anxiety is no more.'
Physically, you have two thinking processors: Your brain and your mana sea's Guardian's supporting brain.
The dual consciousness buff only applies when the consciousness strings are connected to the thinking processor. So letting 'Brain' in the brain with you would be the most beneficial action as of the moment.
'Heh, 'Brain' in the brain.'
"Oy, Brain. Just let Jacko coop up there for a while until we finish the worldly matter. Anxie is there to handle the report from the clones so I think we can function three times better than the original as of now."
"Brain? Is that a nickname? Your naming sense is the same as those who give the original host's referral and the main battalion squad. It would be highly annoying if you just put me in the brain section, because I know you would, while donning the nickname of 'Brain'—"
"Heheh, 'Brain' in the brain."
"I hate you."
This feels like having a sibling more than your family pact with Lues.
"So, I'm 'Anxie' now?" says the consciousness within the Guardian. "I-is this because I'm not good enough that now my name is 'Anxie' as if in anxiety?"
The Guardian begins to frown as tears start falling down.
Shocked like a sleeping person hearing the whistling of kettle, you immediately try to shower her with positivity. "You're a good girl! Everybody loves you! You're named 'Anxie' because you keep the darkness away!"
"Just what 'Logic' says! You're an irreplaceable asset to the consciousness! We have reached three times efficiency because you didn't immediately isolate yourself like the Jackass on the consciousness center!" says Brain, following your cue.
Anxie sniffs."I know both of you're exaggerating but I'll try my best." The Guardian wipes her tears and gives a thumbs up.
"Logic, it seems like the plan to utilize the parallel minds bear rather small fruit." You can feel Brain is bowing down. "I deeply apologize for letting the original choose such a decision, I might be unreliable but I will bear the consequence by leading others."
'Oh no, 'Brain' is actually the self-deprecating part of the original, not intelligent!'
"No no! It was all our fault—according to logic," you say, trying to convince the rational one to be high in morals. "You and I, together, will be the driving force of this undaunted vessel."
"You're cheesy."
"I know."
After gaining her confidence, Brain tries to make up what is happening. "It might be a theory, but separating one consciousness strings into four centers doesn't actually make it a parallel mind because each of us bear a different trait of the original from each other. Although there is a significant ease of emotional stress depending on who takes the control."
Brain knows her stuff. It seems like it will be more crowded from now on. With more crew to work on this unstable ship, you feel relieved.
"Guys!" Anxie shouts from the mana sea. "The clones from Chi of Decidit have found a massive circuit formation pattern consisting of symbols and lines. The same one that holds our elemental crystal on the mana lake.
"I-I think it was an 'Array', we should report this to Lues."
