Chapter 23 - Shaky Shaky

The familiar-looking fear inducing abomination has once again appeared in your view, smiling adorably with its sharp teeth hanging from the serrated bottom corner of its jaw.

"The dreaded goofy white."

Flight or fight!? You would never know, because currently the white cube is now rushing into you while your face becomes paler and stiff. The abomination caresses your left leg and purrs just like how a cat would.

The forced sour smile of a prey trying to fake their fear and hostility is now forcing itself to spread through your whole face. You feel like it will not end well if you move an inch, the options have evolved into 'wry or cry'. The brain is immediately opening the switch for the adrenaline to spread into your bloodstream. Twitching, as if your body can't handle the mental pressure from the adorable white cube critter.

"T-the world is my lemonade! W-within my lemon veins! A-and my heart is a pomegranate, GYAAAAAAA—"

The critter used 'nibble'.

It was really effective.

A white foam is surging through your mouth, still standing. The unhindered waterfall splashes with the amount you can't hold due to muscle shock. What a wonderful day.

After a few minutes of contemplating, you cleared the mental barrier that fazed you with humiliation. You couldn't help but curse yourself by getting the wrong idea about the li'l critter.

"You are really, really, really scaring me, you know that?"

The goofy eyes only stare at you with contentment, wiggling left and right because of excitement.

You flick the white cube playfully, the cube comes back more excited than ever. It seems like it wants more.

You flick the cube harder than before, the result is the same but with double the excitement.

Disgusted, you put your determination into confirming your suspicion by kicking the critter as hard as you can, activating the 1% of 'Ashura Body Array' into your feet.

The creature expands and shrieks ominously for a sharp period of time until it stops and comes back for more.

Unbelievable, your face becomes paler than an egg, "This li'l guy is a masochist."

The mystery is solved, you accidentally charmed this weird creature with accidental brute force.

"I have mixed feelings."

Without further complications, you walk your way into the campsite. Without complaining, you strap a rigid expression as the white cube follows you merrily. The thud of the bouncing hard block is masking your cat-like footsteps. Knowing that the 'Killer Dusk' is still on, you need to be wary all the time and considering that this creature is exponentially powerful with the defense higher than a B-rank calamity—it seems like you will likely expect a less encounter from this point forward.

Then again, this sentient dense-block was easily charmed by just the firepower of a single shot from the microgun. This little guy will probably be switching sides if it takes a more destructive aggression! You need to plan a contingency for that scenario. Because thinking about having your own ally switching sides just because the adversary can give them more pain is just awful.

"—I have a better idea."

If taming exists, a spell or formation for taming and making the victim submit to its caster might exist as well. If only you can give the little creature more pain if he is doing what you told and demotivating him of he is disobeying, making him want to serve by your side forever. It might need training as well as you don't want him to just standby waiting to be punished although you're not sure whether the white block has the intelligence to differentiate a living being.

"Might not hurt to try."

You stop and hunch down to the little cube. Entering your mana sea, you asked for the Chrolings to change the base of the 'Blood Bending Virus' circuit and strip off most of the property except the infecting command. With some crude tweaking and the Chrolings' typosetting, you manage to create a 'Masochist Taming Virus'! With the chibi vessel of course, extra knowledge is also discovered in the middle of the experiment.

'Self-Made Masochist Taming Spell' knowledge acquired.

'Masochist Taming Virus' acquired.

'Masochist Obedience Circuit' knowledge acquired.

'Pain Inducing Circuit' knowledge acquired.

'Pain Killing Circuit' knowledge acquired.

'Demotivating Circuit' knowledge acquired.

"Fufufu, now let's try this baby, shall we?"

With the innocent goofy look from the cube creature, you send away the 'Masochist Taming Virus' into the pervert. It took a while for the virus to find the sensory part of the critter before deploying and dissolving themselves into a small field of magic-circuit formation.

The inside of the cube-like creature is actually just a gel and undescribable material latching into an orb as a core; a rather terrifying view. Putting your visionary sense into the chibi vessel might be something you regret doing, just like they all said—curiosity made the cat puke.

Without a chant or verbose pact ritual like those akin to any fantasy cliche, you've successfully tamed the fearsome monster!

'Masochistic Guardian' acquired.

The horrible monster meanwhile, didn't flinch for a second the moment your virus seeps their painful assimilation into this creature's body. On second thought, this critter is actually in the middle of ecstasy, its googly eyes are cornering into the ceiling!

"I'm starting to regret what I'm doing."

For convenient use, you automate one command: to periodically give pain at different intervals with different sensations. Another 'switch' has also been made within the mana sea in the form of a button, its purpose is to demotivate the overall stimulant by reducing the dopamine or a system working similar to it in immense amounts for a short period of time when pressed. Desirably, another button for inducing an extreme amount of pain has also been made.

"I'm evil, really evil."

The perfect carrot and stick approach—for a masochist. You're disgusted by doing this but any possible action to raise your survival rate is a must.

"Oh right, I haven't named you yet."

The adorable monster is wiggling.

"How about Goyang? Yup, your name will be Goyang."

You subconsciously command the Chrolings to push the 'pain' button, resulting in a very happy Goyang.
