Raj stopped perusing case and changed his job to work in southern part of country. He was always a good teacher and quickly established self in new environment. The best part was that within few months he was attracted by a beautiful middle aged teacher in same institution. She was unmarried because of family circumstances. Now she was better established and was having own small well decorated flat. He went for dinner once or twice and appreciated her manners and selection of items for internal decoration. No sooner she proposed to him and he agreed.
Woman was named Divya in much better shape and he was determined to have a child. He didn't want to die without any child and Divya agreed. Raj was now more conscious about health and his body. He was advised by Divya in this matter and he obeyed.
In one year he became father and was very happy. He felt it a big achievement and tried to earn more being in same job. He moved with family to different places with academic activities. He was appointed examiner and Head examiner in three subjects which were quite remunerative. Divya continued working. Both got chance to work in outside universities and they finally settled down in London suburb. They forgot own country and a son was born. His son developed fast in new environment which was competitive but healthy. They earned name and were invited by different institutions for programs. He forgot about Selena completely and also Manish who had upset his conjugal life completely.
'Do you remember your ex-wife? She has become a cine artist and is famous in theater also. Recently she directed a film which has been acclaimed the best children film. The hero of the film is her young son who narrates own story. We can see this film on next Sunday after I download it.' Divya informed.
'How you remember Selena when you have never come in contact with her?'
'I found her old photograph in one old file of yours. It was about the conference which you two attended. She gave a pose like a film heroin and was fashionably dressed. Review of her film was given in one program when the son also talked. She has pleasant and sweet voice and has maintained self well despite having child very late. What must be her age when you two parted?' Diva asked.
'She must be around fifty five. I retired at the age of sixty and we separated within next two years.' Raj answered.
'You two got bored so early after retirement. Of course she must be demanding more money to keep herself attractive.' She said.
'This was precisely reason of we two going on different paths. I did all to keep her satisfied. But her hunger for money increased and one day she was exploited by her sister's husband. The man killed wife by pushing her in pool and then slept with her and made her pregnant. It was a chance happening. I warned her and asked to get rid of pregnancy. She refused and one morning walked out from home while I was sleeping.' Raj gave detail.
After few days police knocked their door. They identified the man and arrested him for murder of two sisters one by one. First he killed elder one when her husband was on tour and he came to house early in morning on call from his wife. They wanted her property which she refused. Next he killed his own wife Selena in a road accident when she was loitering in market place and managed to escape.
'Tell me Divya who are you?'
'I am Inspector Rakhi deputed to find out you and detain after verifying incident. You have narrated total story by taking names of others. Now you will be taken back to prove your guilt and given suitable punishment.'
'Inspector what have you gained? Why you married me and also became mother?'
'It was my responsibility. I will keep the child till you are not out from jail. In my opinion you will be given life sentence.' With good conduct it may get reduced. I am definite you will do so to have your son with you.'
'What about you?' He asked further.
'I will also wait for you till you change your mind. You have given me responsibility to take care of this child. I could have left you but was attracted by your brilliant records and couldn't believe you indulging in two murders.'
'What do you think was reason behind all this?'
'Your ego and over confidence to do everything that came your way. This is not true. After all professionalism has important role which should improve with experience of man like you? You became overconfident by succeeding partially in all difficult situations. You ill-treated Selena and made her arrogant.'
'Do you think Manish was also responsible ?'
'He was an exploiter and wanted to gain in some way or other. He got chance to avail two women and he did to satisfy sex needs. You prepared grounds for him. In reality you behaved like irresponsible husband and finally became a criminal. You taught ethics and became highly selfish and unethical. You and persons like you are real danger to the society and should be tackled firmly.'
Raj started giggling and pushed her aside and jumped out from car and fell into a deep and sharply falling slope. He was lost in jungle before Rakhi could reach to pick up and found him dead. He was punished by self and justice waited to decide the case of his stolen car.
Rakhi returned home and put back child in orphanage from where she borrowed. She never became pregnant despite sleeping with Raj a few times to build confidence.
