Chapter 17 - Dark History

As to where they lived, they had to show their stylishness. However, being stylish alone was not enough, it was necessary to show off to others. From time to time, they would post some updates on social media that seemed to be sharing their life, but in fact, they were showing off their houses.

However, the feeling of this place was different. If it were not for Aurelia that had brought him here today, Alvin would never know that there was such a place in the world.

Aurelia skillfully passed through each intersection and finally came to an attic.

"Camilla, my little Camilla, I'm here to visit you!"

Aurelia stuck her head out of the car window and shouted in a direction.

Not long after, the window of the attic opened and Camilla poked her head out.

It was a lady with short blonde hair, thin eyebrows, and big eyes. She was wearing a Cotehardie dress. Her expression seemed to have the indifference of a noble as if she didn't care about everything.

However, Camilla frowned when she saw who it was.

"Ah, it's you again..."

Alvin felt that Camilla was as if complaining.

It was not difficult to understand.

After all, Aurelia had gotten this sports car from Camilla by exposing Camilla's shortcomings. Anyone would feel very unhappy about it.

"Let's go, I'll bring you to meet my best friend."

However, Aurelia did not seem to care much about this. She pulled Alvin out of the car, and they headed straight to the hall.

Before Alvin could find out if the hall-door was plated with gold, he had been pulled into the hall.

Camilla was already waiting there. There was also a group of servants standing guard at the side.

They bowed gently to Aurelia and seemed to be ready to serve her.

"They are my guests. Please serve them as my valued guests."

Camilla said softly to one of the servants.

However, Aurelia did not appreciate it at all.

"Hey, hey, don't think that I don't know you well. Let these people go and get busy with other things."

As Aurelia spoke, she ignored everyone's surprised gazes. She grabbed Camilla's wrist and walked upstairs.

Compared to Aurelia, Camilla appeared much more petite and she could not stop Aurelia at all.

The servants stared with wide eyes. First of all, they were used to their master who was particular about manners. Now that they suddenly met an unruly woman, they were at a loss. Second of all, although this guest was a little rough, it seemed that she and their master had a good relationship.

Alvin quickly followed.

...

Unlike the magnificence displayed outside, Camilla's room appeared much simpler. It was white throughout and looked very warm.

"I'm so happy to see you, my little Camilla." Aurelia treated this place as her own home. She skillfully made a cup of tea for herself. After drinking two mouthfuls, she poured a cup for Alvin. She then cleared her throat and said, "Oh, Camilla, my reunion with you is indeed poetic. At this moment, I would like to express my emotion using the poem you wrote in elementary school."

"Ahem."

"Ah!"

"Friendship! I praise you, just like I praise the newborn sun. Like a red flower, you..."

Aurelia read out a poem without mercy. It was clearly just an elementary school composition, but she read it out full of emotion as if she was reciting a masterpiece.

At the same time, Camilla's cheeks became redder and redder.

When she realized that this was to uncover her past, Camilla rushed forward, wanting to cover Aurelia's mouth.

"Don't read it! Don't read it out! Please!"

The two of them fought. Camilla's eyes were red, and she looked like she was about to cry. However, Aurelia did not care. She continued to recite with a giggle, and at the same time, she winked at Alvin.

Alvin sighed. If the things he fantasized about when he was young were read out by others, he felt that it would be better to die.

He covered his ears out of pity for Camilla.

"I've never shown anyone what I've written... How did you know about it? You could even recite it?"

After Camilla realized that she was not as strong as the other party, she stopped pestering her. Instead, she directly asked the question in her heart.

In fact, when Camilla grew a little older, she realized how embarrassed it was for her to have written something when she was still a child.

However, she didn't want to throw away the poetry collection that she had written herself. Instead, she decided to treat it as a diary. It wouldn't be bad if she could use it to reminisce about her childhood when she was free.

But she definitely couldn't let others see it.

But now not only did this Aurelia see it, but she could also recite two of the poems!

"Hehe, I already said that I'm a reincarnator. Do you believe me now?" Faced with her doubts, Aurelia directly told the truth. "We eventually became good sisters. When I helped you move, I found a rainbow-colored diary. Out of curiosity, I opened it to take a look."

"You really are a reincarnator..."

Camilla's eyes widened. It seemed that this girl did not believe it until this moment.

"Then, who is this gentleman?"

Camilla then turned her gaze to Alvin and asked about Alvin's identity.

"My boyfriend, Alvin, your future brother-in-law," Aurelia replied.

After hearing this, Camilla sized up Alvin. Her eyes were full of suspicion. Then, she stared at Aurelia for a while. Her eyes swayed back and forth between the two of them as if she was comparing something. Finally, she sighed.

"Your taste... how should I put it? It's very unique. It's not bound by the eyes of the secular world."

When Alvin heard this, he also sighed in his heart.

Admittedly, Alvin knew that he had good looks, at least above average. However, compared to Aurelia's status, he did not seem to be a good match for her.

For men, there was no need for them to be handsome. In fact, a man's charm came more from money. Generally speaking, as long as a man was rich, the women around him would not be ugly. A rich man with a beautiful woman was a common phenomenon.

But the problem was...

Alvin looked at himself. No matter how he looked at himself, he did not look like a rich man.

"You must be a very rich person."

Camilla suddenly commented.

Alvin rolled his eyes. He knew that she was implicitly belittling him.

But the next second, he heard Camilla say again, "But why don't you wear a suit that suits your identity?"

"Ah?"

Feeling that there might be a misunderstanding, Alvin asked, "How do you tell that I'm a rich person?"
