Emptiness
Everything was nothing, it felt as though I was drifting in a ocean with no waves. "Where am I?" "Im sure I was just hit my a car just a second ago"
There was murmuring one the back ground, as a man kept drifting in the darkness, "okato no jug ruebo dudhk" it was unrecognizable.
Suddenly, all I could see was a small glimmer of light, getting wider and wider and
Boom!
I opened my eyes, everything was blurry, I could see a woman holding me, she had brown eyes and red hair, looked to be in her late 20s, and in the corner of the room, I saw a man, he looked very surprised as he came in through the door.
Another lady picked me up, she was chubby and was wearing a mask over her face, "sit a yobjo"
She lifted me up and patted me on the back. As soon as she did, I was immediately enveloped by thousands of thoughts and knowledge, I then understood what these people were saying. "It's a boy haha" said the lady I assumed to be the nurse.
Right after this she threw me up into the air, "WHAT THE HELL LADY!" Is what I thought I said, I actually just let out a soft groan. I thought I was going to fall straight down, but stayed in the air, and that's when I realized, the nurse was making me float in the air. I had been born into a new world with magic?!
I had seen this in mangas and web-novels, but for it to actually happen is insane, my life before was full of theft, drugs, and alcohol after all, I was a 45 year old, with no job, and I was homeless. My parents abandoned me from a young age, and I had to grow up by myself and some street thugs. Regardless, I knew what was right form wrong, and I knew that I was the one in the wrong.
My life was a failure, all I wanted was to live a life free of worry, of stress and pain. I wanted to have freedom. And do what I wanted. The last moments before my death was regretting not changing my life. I thought "if only I had one more chance, I would change not only myself, but this cruel world".
…
Now I actually have that chance. I knew immediately that I had to do what the mcs in every manga does, and hurry up to learn this magic. At the start I couldn't talk, or do anything. So it was pretty upsetting in the beginning. But after 4 months of being born, I could walk on my own. And I had learned a few things. My family consisted of me, my mother who was 28 years old, and my father who was 30.
My name was Ren, Ren Kawaki. We lived in the smaller quarters. Or the servant house. The big mansion next to our house was the asphalt household. Whom we worked under. My mother and father grew up In pretty average conditions. And despite the name, being servants for a rich family was a pretty middle class job. And as the first child of the 18th servant family. I must grow up to be a solider for the main house. Or so they want.
On the second month, an old man walked into my room, where I was with my mother. he was about 5'2 in height wearing a white robe, and had a long white beard. My mother immediately bowed her head as soon as he walked in. He ignored her and walked straight to me. Picked me up and looked me up and down closely. As if he had never seen a baby in his lifetime.
He said "well he doesn't look too unhealthy, he should do a good job as the guard for the main houses kids." My mother thanked him and seemed pretty happy. Apparently to become the guard for the man household that your working under as a servant was a pretty good responsibility, my father didn't get to become one.
While I was looking at his character, he put me down and instantly vanished. I was astounded and impressed. I was to become as strong as the old man, no, I wanted to become stronger. After I was about a year old, I walked around the house to find a library, or At least a book. I walked into a small library and found a book called "art of cultivation". Sounded about right, so I opened it up and started to read. Hours went by because I wasn't the fastest reader.
But the general idea as. In this world there is something called Qi energy. Qi was what gave living things life. As you went on, Qi was what grew you, and nourished you. There were 3 types of Qi. The first was body Qi. A way to make your body more sturdy and strong. The second form of Qi was mind Qi. A way to make your mind formless and efficient. Everyone had these 2 Qis from birth. The third Qi was called gods Qi. A special type of key that enhanced Qi in your body. And allowed you to use this Qi from your body.
Only 80 percent of people born had this Qi. In the art of cultivation. There were 7 different stages of strength. Depending on how far you are in your cultivation stage. Your color of Qi around your body, your aura, will also change. The first stage was called the "Beginner realm" with white Qi aura.
Next was the "Star realm" with red Qi aura.
The next stage after that was the "Radiant realm" orange Qi aura. The one after that was the "Legendary realm" with blue Qi aura.
The next was the "Evolved realm" with purple Qi aura. After that was the "Divine realm" with yellow Qi aura. And the final one was the fabled "Transcendent Realm" With gold Qi Aura.
To even progress into the beginner realm. One must go thorough months of cultivation. So I decided to do it, to cultivate efficiently, you need lots of mental stability. You needed mind Qi. But Ren has the mentality of a 46 year old already. So he was slightly ahead of most people. In the book of cultivation. There was a small list of not so good cultivation techniques. "Rose gold cultivation" "flowing water cultivation" and "wild star cultivation".
One by one I learned all the forms of cultivation. The rose gold cultivation helped my body Qi. The flowing water cultivation helped my mind Qi. And the wild star cultivation helped my gods Qi. After studying for entire days and sleeping for entire nights. I had mastered these cultivation techniques. They had no further use to me. I was 3 years old at the time. And I was already in the Beginner realm. Usually, kids that were around 15 started off at beginner realm with months of cultivation using good cultivation techniques. And I had managed to do it by age 3.
But this wasn't enough. My goal was far greater than the mere beginner realm. I was in thirst for knowledge. So I snuck out when my mother and father were busy with work. We were only a middle class family. So we couldn't afford something like a baby sitter. I went outside and found myself amazed by my surroundings. This was the first time I was outside my entire life. The grass was greener than ever before. The sky was more blue and radiant than ever. That was amazing.
After that I snuck. into the guards building near my home. I was sure there was going to be some books on cultivation there. I went inside only to find there wasn't a single guard in sight. "They must have gone somewhere" I thought to myself. I went to the library in the guards building. And found myself with hundreds of books, big to small. I looked around and couldn't fine any top teir cultivation books, or any ones that were above average at all.
The best one I found was one that was called "carving palm cultivation". So I decided to go with it. It was heavy for a 3 year old like me. So I quickly hurried it over into my room. And put it on top of my bed. And opened the first page. I read and read. It took me 3 entire days to finish understanding all of the books contents. And then I started cultivating.
That's when I heard a knock on my door. I quickly put the book under my bed and checked the door. It was my mother and father. They had come back from their usual job, and wanted to tell me that they will be going far away into a near by city with the master and mistress of the main family. And that they wouldn't be home for 3 entire months. I found this to be a great opportunity to cultivate ever more. So I was quite thrilled about it.
They also said that the person looking after me will be Bran, The vice captain of the lower guards. Brody was a guy normal height, that was slightly skinny and had nerdy glasses. Although he was a book worm. I could tell he was immensely strong. Although I needed more mind Qi to see his Qi aura. I could tell that he was At least 2 stages above me.
The first few weeks went by. I didn't really talk with Bran a lot. And he didn't seem to care too much either. So I spent my time continuously cultivating. Every time I woke up. My body would be aching from body being cultivated at such high speeds.
The months went by and Bran and me had a mutual respect for each other. To not disrupt each other. Or maybe he just didn't like me. Anyways we departed and my parents came back from their trip. As I cultivated. Time went on, and I was around 8 years old when I mastered every single good cultivation techniques in that library. 4 in total. I was in the star realm. But this progress was far to slow. I needed something that actually did stuff for me, because nothing seemed to work anymore.
So I decided to sneak into the main family house . . .
