I decided to go with [Summoner], although it has a range of S-F I presume people who figure out the gimmick to the system are why is can be S class. I look into what the skills related to summoning are and it's quite easy to follow so why does it have problems?
[Summoning] : Lvl 1
"Allows the player to summon creatures at random using a magic crystal/stone/circle as the conduit to bring forth the summon. Summon restrictions apply to level, summons will be half the level of the players current level when first summoned." Summoning level dictates the amount of summons a player can have every 5 levels.
The [Summoning] skill seems pretty easy to follow but the whole deal with it being 5~10 levels the players current level is quite harsh late game when you think about it since being level 50 would give you a level 40, thus causing it to have that huge slide of levels. There's one other base skill that doesn't seem bad from a quick glance.
[Skill Share] : Lvl 1
"The player and respective summon are able to share a skill together for a certain period of time."
Skill Share make me curious in what kind of skills summons will have. Example being a dragon or a slime, how will those shared skills work will I be able to fly or have a quasi-liquid body? There's so much for me to learn from it. It also seems that it's possible to pick up sub classes, I decided to take a peek at what options are available, the best options seemed to be Alchemy, Blacksmithing, Cooking, and Taming. After finalizing my choices I decided I would focus on Alchemy and possibly Cooking in the future when those become available to me, and continued onto transferring into the starting area of the game.
The starting area is actually close to the center of the map, around 20km away from the roots of Yggdrasil in a small town known as the "Town of Root's". All players are given a [Map] which is your average paper map with light topography, the only difference was marking the major cities and the players current location with miniature icons. There was also a toggle to make it a mini-map in my peripheral viewpoint, so I decided to go along with that.
*It seems everything is pretty simple so far. I should try and find my way around town to my starting quest.*
I went ahead and opened up my [Quest] menu and selected the Quest named {In's and Out's} which was marked with a special [Tutorial] icon shaped like a book. I went and read the description to see if I could gather anymore info related to the quest. I was able to gather that the quest is in the "Adventurer's Guild" near the center of town, and that my current position was roughly west of the Guild. Walking for a bit I saw a few bars, clothes shops, inns and other staples in a fantasy town and then I finally arrived at a big three story building. It seems I have arrived at the adventurers guild safely and easily, I went an walked up to the receptionist, a Blonde, white skinned elf with good features and a pretty face by normal comparisons.
"Hello, I'd like to register for the Adventurer's Guild?"
"Welcome, if your registering then can I have you fill this out and then proceed out through the backdoor onto the testing grounds."
The registration papers for the guild seemed to be automatically filled out after I received it aside from an optional alias name and sub-classes, I decided to ask the receptionist about aliases,
"Excuse me, is it possible to change or remove my alias at a later date or is it permanently set?"
"It is possible to change it later at any Adventurer's Guild establishment."
"Thank you."
Now that I know I'm able to change it later on I decided not to fill it out for the time being, I went and proceeded to the testing ground through the back and found a group of 11 other Players and NPCs. I went to the center with all the other people, and right as I arrived a loud voice from behind out shouted out a welcome,
"Welcome to the Adventurer's Guild Newbies, I'll be your instructor Luna Mellia,"
Luna Mellia had short red hair and a firm stature, I thought she was a male upon first glance because of her appearance, she was dressed in a black and grey stripped suit, she walked over to where we were while she continued,
"We will be starting the registration soon, I want everyone to line up and say their jobs. I'll direct you towards a proper instructor for your specified jobs."
Going down the line there were a few interesting classes just to name a few there was a, "Berserker", "Paladin", and an NPC with the "Spirit Mage" class. All which had and average ranking range of "A" it finally reached me and I proclaimed my job to be "Summoner" which made Luna strike a weird face for a few seconds before she told me to stay put.
"Excuse me Miss Luna, but why am I the only one who stayed behind?"
"You'll figure that out in a few minutes, let me grab some materials first. Summoners are a rare accommodation so we take special measures each time we get a new one."
*I knew not many would pick Summoners, but for special accommodations to be made is more surprising than I would have ever guessed*
After a little while Luna Mellia called me over and told me we would be doing my first summon with a summoning circle. It seems I'll finally be able to get my first partner in this world, I wonder what I'll summon, hopefully it's something powerful...
