When the guard said it, everyone nodded and while he walked away, everyone moved on side, and then they started recollecting how they assembled them. While Jim saw it, he smiled while knowing that he had the lowest level of it, but while he saw that some older generations have a problem too, where they have to use it for a long time, while most jobs don't need it, you need to have permission from the mayor.
While knowing that it cost a small fortune, nobody wanted to use it and they just made jokes about it. While Jim looked at his hand, he created a small flame and while having it, he smiled while seeing that it was bigger than what he normally had before working. 'So this work helped me,' he said to himself, and then everyone started marching to the bigger city where everyone from this area was going.
While they walked there for five days, everyone was exhausted from doing it, but they went while knowing that it would be fine.
As they came, everyone waited for the sword and shield. Like the rest of the people there, Jim waited peacefully and when his time came, he took it. While having it, he looked at it and while seeing that it was not new and some battles had passed, he walked on the side with it and after putting a shield on his side, he looked at it again and then he took two small stones and then he started sharpening it. As he was doing it, he didn't look around at what was happening, and as he was doing it, he managed to make it look like earlier, but still losses were visible, but it was much sharper.
While having it, he gets up and when he does it, everyone from his city comes to one place. As he came there, he could hear "make you into ten people units". While hearing this, everyone who knows each other started forming them. While he only spent some time there and didn't know everyone, he wanted at first to come to the group with the sons of a blacksmith, but when they had their own group of friends, he waited until someone wanted him. As he waited, someone came to him and then he could hear "are you free?".
"Yes," Jim said, and while hearing him, the guy was happy and then he said, "OK, come to our we are missing one guy".
"Ok" Jim agreed with him, and after coming there, they greeted each other and then waited to move.
While time passed, Jim at first wanted to talk, but everyone was focused on themselves. He dropped this idea and when he looked around, he remembered one of the lessons from his father, Brian,'remember until you become eighteen your power goes to the maximum level and later it goes down to your death'. While remembering it, he knows now why only people over forty come here, as the power of magic is still in good shape and they can fight using it.
As he observed around him, he could see that there were a lot of young people. As he observes them, he starts to have a bad feeling about this war, which he doesn't know with whom. Berties was always a peaceful country and nobody attacked it, but that changed when the new king came ten years ago, but then they attacked more than being attacked.
While he started thinking, he couldn't remember who was around, as the maps which were in the church were only the closest areas and roads to the capital, nothing more. As he looked at people who started talking about their magic, he was quiet while knowing his magic couldn't compare to that of older people. While looking at them, he started feeling jealous, but he needed to stop thinking about it as almost everyone who comes here has their own equipment. While having it, the main commander said, "everyone we are going".
"Yes," everyone said, and then they started walking. The first few hours were easy, but when they stopped to sleep, Jim had a really bad idea. After eating a small portion of food, he walked to a small place and sat. When his back touched the tree, he fell asleep like that.
While he was sleeping, he started having bad dreams about his power, which could go over control. As having them, he wakes up many times, but he falls asleep fast. When the next day came, only a small portion of bread was given and then they started walking. The same things happened for the next ten days.
While they were walking, more and more people started feeling exhausted from only walking, and a few died from exhaustion. As they were walking, Jim knew that nothing good could happen around them, but he started to be optimistic as this might be his only chance to be well known and, thanks to it, he might work with holy knights. If he couldn't be one, he would work with them. As the fifteen days of walking came, he could feel bigger and bigger pressure coming from a place in front of them, and then, far away, a big ice block showed up.
While seeing it, everyone started looking there, and then they went after the city leaders. As they were, walking voices started to come. "I hope we will not fight right away"; "I'm exhausted".
While hearing them, Jim looked more at what was happening there. As his eyes went around, he could see many fights there, but someone's black flames soon destroyed this ice block. 'Many powerful enemies are there' he said to himself, and then he walked with other people to not go in first and be killed by the first strike.
As they walk, they see no mountains, no rivers, only sand and grass in some parts, but it was destroyed now as fights needed to be here heavy and far away from the sea. As he observed it, he went more after them. When he came to the place, he could see that fight going around.
