They both had a sit and started talking.
"From a few days ago, I am having strange dreams each day. Dreams showing me my death and all. The weirdest part is that I remember every dream with details. The dreams are painful, but the weird part of these dreams is that they feel real. It feels like it really happened with me, and now the memories are coming back or recast again in my life." Kim explained, "But, something more unusual happened with me yesterday."
Kim explained the incident that happened with him in the hospital. Mr Nam was very focused on listening and making notes of every detail Kim mentioned.
"The human mind is a versatile but complex tool. The first question Mr Kim, are you affiliated with any criminal case or have you witnessed anything severe?" Mr Nam asked.
"No, I am not affiliated to any crime scenes or anything, but when I was 10, I witnessed my parents murder," Kim replied.
Mr Nam noted it down.
"Second question, what are you working on and why? Just tell me a little bit about it." He asked.
Kim replied, "I am working on a story based on Korean Independence Movements. It is a thriller. I came to this idea from my first dream."
Mr Nam noted.
"Third question, to what extent do you think that these dreams are not a reflection of your thinking based on your story idea. It is a very common cause for your dream to reflect upon your thought base."
"I don't know…," Kim whispered.
"Mr Nam are these side effects of reincarnation. Are your past life memories coming back?" Mr Nam with a sarcastic face. "No, I heard a few news of these types of things happening a few days ago, and those people remembered things about their past lives. Is this happening to you too, Mr Kim?" Nam smiled.
Kim got disappointed with the joke. He was not in his usual self because of all the things that happened in the hospital. He left the office immediately and took a cab to his mansion. Mr Nam didn't interfere with him while leaving. He just smiled.
After reaching his house, he went straight to his bedroom and jumped over his bed. The thought of reincarnation made him feel sick of it. Kim doesn't believe in supernatural things in reality, and he hates listening to things that are out of the world, except for fiction stories. He didn't expect an educated person like Mr Nam to talk about stuff like reincarnation.
He was tired. He didn't get a comfortable bed to sleep in the hospital and was also tired of all those nonsenses, so he thought of taking a nap.
His phone started ringing, and someone started ringing the bell. He was tired, so he wanted to ignore it, but the caller and the person behind the damn door were persistent enough to make him stand.
He looked at his phone and found an unknown restricted number calling him over and over. He picked it up and said, "Hello".
But no one replied.
All at once, he heard footsteps coming from outside his room. He got scared. He ran towards the door and peeked outward. There was no one. He shouted, "Security!" But there was no reply. He started to lose his mind.
There was a flower vas right beside the door he was standing at. He took the flower vas as a weapon and stepped out. The lights went off, and everything went dark. He started hearing the footsteps from his behind. The steps sounded like walking on a plastic bag.
Hearing the sound, Kim's heart skipped a beat. He turned backwards, putting his hands and weapon pointing towards the sound.
"Who are you," he asked.
No one replied.
The room was pitch dark, making it impossible to see anything.
The footsteps started to approach Kim. Kim's hands were shivering. He threw the vas towards the sound. But it didn't touch the intruder, it straightaway fell on the ground.
He asked again, "Who the hell are you?!"
But still, there was no reply.
He walked straight towards the intruder. He was trying to act brave, but he was not.
Suddenly, his phone started ringing. After a few seconds, the lights came back. But there was no one. Who was the intruder?
Kim took a deep breath. He was happy that there was no one. He went to the main gate to check who was ringing the bell.
There was no one, but there was a package fallen on the floor. Kim picked it up. The box was quite big, but it was light.
