"Intimidation"
As Alex said this one word, all of the darkness that was around him flowed into material existence as it quickly moved towards the shaking creatures.
As soon as the darkness reached them, the darkness coiled and wrapped around them like a python about to strangle its meal. As soon as the kobolds were completely wrapped in the darkness all 5 of them collapsed.
Looking around at the materialized darkness, Alex wondered why it was like this, 'Aren't intimidation skills supposed to be done through emotions and mental pressure?'
{Yes} Ava answered his thoughts, {However, it seems that if the fear that will manifest through the skill is strong enough, then the fear itself will be materialized. It seems that in this case, it materialized because you absolutely slaughtered the other creatures}
Alex walked towards the last 5 creatures that had just collapsed due to fear.
"I want to try something," Alex stated in an extremely ominous and equally cold tone. "How do I control the darkness element?"
{Think of it as an extension of your magic, like it is a canvas and you are the painter. Draw the image that you want with it.}
Alex comprehended this idea fairly well. He closed his eyes and held out his right palm facing the ground. After standing there for 15 or so seconds, he opened his eyes abruptly and said,
"SHADOW CONTROL"
All of a sudden, his eyes turned a pitch-black color so dark that it seemed to rival the void itself. As his eyes turned black, the shadows below him that were still consuming his prey, shot up towards his hand like an upside-down tornado. As soon as the tip of the vortex touched his hand, he looked down at the swirling mass of darkness.
Imagining what he wanted it to look like, it straightened into a long staff made of darkness, at the end of the staff a dark red curved blade formed. The staff itself was 7 and a half feet long and the blade itself was 4 feet long. Looking at it, Alex thought that the pitch-black weapon with a blade the color of blood looked perfect.
After holding the bladed weapon for a few seconds, Alex twirled it with great nimbleness before easily cutting through the 5 creatures that were just now stirring awake. After he sliced through them he got a bunch of notifications.
[Skill Obtained: Shadow Control LVL 1]
[Skill Obtained: Shadow Manifestation LVL 1]
[??? has noticed your feats
??? has noticed your feats
??? Has taken interest in you]
[New Spell created, what would host like to name it?]
'That scythe is considered a spell?' Alex thought as he dismissed the spell and brought it back. "I'll call it... Crimson Blade."
[Spell named]
"I can understand what the first 2 notifications are, the first one is shadow control, it just means that I can control shadows. The second is shadow manifestation, I can assume that it means that I can manifest the darkness as weapons or tools and maybe even animate beings eventually."Alex thought aloud while thinking about everything as rationally as possible. "Although, what's with the third message?"

'So the crimson blade costs 5 mana' Alex thought right before Ava started speaking again.
{do you see the patron and blessing slots on your status?}
"Yes"
{Well, the gods of all the worlds can choose 1 host from each world to be their advocates in the new world, if they do then they will be considered the patron of said host. Now, as a host, you can have as many blessings as there are gods, but you can only have one true patron, the others are more or less just supreme beings that give you their blessing. See, the gods can give as many blessings out as they want, but as I said before, they can only choose one true champion. do you understand?}
"Yes, I just have 1 question," Alex responded.
{Yes?}
"What 'New World'?" Alex asked, curious about the specific phrase that she used.
{The WORLD RESET System is used to completely remake worlds. See, the world will completely reset and reform in exactly 1 week after the trial period started.}
"What do you mean 'reform'?" Alex questioned her vague answers.
{The world will completely reform, all continents and nations will merge, new landmasses will appear, as will new races. The reason for your system is so you can hopefully survive in this new world.}
"What exactly will happen once the week is up?" Alex asked curious about how the entire world was going to change.
{Once the week is up, all humans will fall into a stasis like sleep and will be protected by the system as the world changes. Nothing will be able to harm you in this stasis, you will stay like this for 5000 years as the new world develops through the new races and creatures that will appear. When humans wake up, they will be in the same position and the same geographical area. So if you went into stasis right here, then you would wake up in this spot in new york, in the new world.}
"What kind of races will appear?" Alex asked as he continued walking towards the LVL 20 beast that he was going to fight.
{Any that you can think of and more}
"This new world, it's our world but in 5000 years and with new races?"
{No, Your world will not just advance by 5000 years, it will also transfer to a new reality, a new solar system, a new sun, new moons, new everything. The structures of your old cities and such will still be the same and the technology will most likely be extremely similar to now.}
"Why would it be similar to now? Wouldn't it be extremely advanced compared to now?" As he said this, Alex was messing around with his shadow control and shadow manifestation and noticed that the first light was showing over the top of the city.
{No, the new races will all have magic just like you do now, so most of your technology will be useless to them. They will also not need to develop their sciences seeing as how they will have the magic.}
"I guess that makes sense," Alex stated as he arrived at the front of one of the red and blue portals surrounded by a hoard of monsters.
"Let's do this," he said while manifesting his scythe and unsheathing his knife.
