Seventh-day of the seventh month ~
Haley takes Mia for a walk to have a glimpse of the Chilseok festival... The evening breeze, colourful lanterns, crowd and the drizzling rain brightens the place with an eye-soothing sight!!
Mia: What is the occasion dear? I can see loads of lantern decorations here..?
Haley says...Chilseok is the Korean festival, where the heats dwindle and the wet season begins.
Cowherd and wearer reunite once a year, as magpies form a bridge to cross the milky way for the couple.
The rainfall in this season is said Chilseok water... The rain pours down the earth when the couple shed tears as they stay separated.
Koreans celebrate this festive by lightening the magpie lanterns in the happiness of the couple's reunion..!! People offer fried pumpkins to the big dipper.
Mia gets delighted to see the wonderful sight of lanterns decorated through the streets... Haley and Mia click snaps to keep up the Korean memories...

Korea is indeed the "Land of Morning Calm" !!
Korea was entitled as " Chaohsien" (morning freshness) in the year of 1934. The country has clear waters, peacefulness, and the beauty of stunning mountains in the morning. Henceforth it was known as the "Land of Morning Calm".
Haley learns a few Korean words like kansanmida, Gomawo, nan, annyeonghasimnikka, yeoboseyo
and her most favourite word is jal meokkesseumnida (means- "I will eat well")...She likes the Korean Culture and the way people respecting each other...!!
At Katsuya ~
Haley gets ready to attend an award function for the success of her perfume 'Meliora'. Katherine uses her tactics to pull Haley down.
Haley wears a silver pump with a slitted silverish gown. Using the opportunity Katherine pretends as if she is fainting. Haley rushes to help Katherine in a hurry. Her pumps breaks into two pieces.
Lewis observes everything that happened. He orders a flat cut shoe in cream colour with crystals studded over it.
He carries Haley in her arms and makes her sit. Everyone's glance turn towards them. In the meanwhile, the shoe arrives and saves Haley from embarrassment.
Haley receives the award of " young talented perfumist " from celebrity Jang. Lewis and the people of Katsuya feel happy to gather in the evening for the award function.
Haley thanks the Katsuya company for allowing her to showcase her talent in perfume making. She dedicates the award to Katsuya company, Lewis and her family to support her to reach so far.
Haley takes the forest route to travel back home. The evening clouds get darker and the full moon appear penetrating through the clouds. She hears animals growling and roaring voices in the forest. The noises of animals fill the forest.
Haley's car gets repaired in the middle of the forest. She opens the bonnet of the car to check whether the motor operates properly. She makes some adjustments and starts the engine of the car.
When she turns to enter her car a werewolf jumps upon her and attacks her. The werewolf couldn't injure her as the silver chain from her neck illuminates with a shine. The werewolf feels pain and growls by slowly changing its appearance into a human.
Before the complete transformation happen. The changing wolf leaves her and runs away from her. Now Haley feels her heart thudding rapidly with sweat beads on her face.
She opens the car's door right away and without wasting a second she drives back home. She reaches the hotel before 9 pm and rings the doorbell.
Mia opens the door and calls her in. Haley hugs her mom with tears veiling in her eyes. Mia asks her what happened...? Why do you feel so frightened...?
Haley narrates the story and how her silver chain saved her from the werewolf attack. Mia feels safe and instructs Haley not to take the forest route after evening and always to wear the silver chain.
Haley feels happy to know the secret of the silver chain protecting her and thanking the grandmother in mind.
Mia serves Haley the hot corn soup, kimchi (fermented cabbage or radish) and gimbap (cooked rice with meat rolled in seaweed sheet) for dinner. Both of them satiate the hunger pangs and relax for a while.
haley listens to soothing and relaxing music from her iPod. Mia clears the leftover meals and organises the bed to hit the sack.
Mia offers hot turmeric milk with pepper to Haley to make her sleep first. Turmeric milk has antioxidants and the presence of curcumin alleviates the mood giving a soothing sleep.
Haley drinks the turmeric milk and reads the Harry Potter book before going to sleep. Mia switches the night lamp beside the cot and closes her eyes.
The next day Mia wakes up and opens the curtain of the glass window to let the sun rays seep into the room. Haley cuddles with her soft teddy bear and sleeps for a while.
Mia makes a warm cup of cardamom tea and wakes up Haley. She refreshes and brushes her teeth for the fresh start of the day. Haley slowly drinks the cardamom tea and watches the comedy in a television show.
It was Sunday and Haley decides to visit St.Joseph's church to thank God for saving her life from the dangerous attack. Mia accompanies her to the church as they lit the rose-scented candles with a flower garland to St.Joseph's statue.
They attend the mass service on Sunday and go for an outdoor shopping to purchase Korean cosmetics, dresses, shoes and beauty products.
After one month in Korea, Haley and Mia return to their mother country.
