Synopsis
Lorelei Braxton was just an ordinary Assistant Professor at Nexus University. She didn’t expect to die of fast-progressing cancer at the young age of 29 years old. _________________________________ Waking up as a minor character in her own novel was not what Lorelei was expecting. Lorelei Braxton was now fifteen-year-old Yvonne Creed, the youngest Princess of the Ethereal Isles. Yvonne Creed was shy and shut-in because she was not conceived by the Saintess, but the Emerpor’s Mage. A truly minor character with a truly pathetic ending. She was destined to die of falling down the stairs. The twist about Princess Yvonne? She was the only one who was truly in love with the 7th Prince of Samonia, Jasper, who is also the second male lead. But, he only ever looked at Yvonne’s eldest sister, Lydia Creed. Next Empress of Samonia and Heir to Ethereal Isles, the Holy Land. When Lydia Creed betrays the 7th Prince and marries the Crown Prince, Abner, there is instant rebellion. Jasper kills Lydia and Abner for betrayal and breaking his trust. Jasper is thrown into prison and is tortured by his own father. How will Yvonne change her fate and the fate of others? Will she be able to twist the story? Or is she just fated to die young in both lives? ________________________________________ All Rights Reserved. Cover was made by me. Chapter 1 - vol 000

One July evening, Lorelei Braxton was walking to her campus apartment. Humming to a soft tune, she looked up at the sky. It was a symphony of orange, red, yellow, and a bit of purple. She smiled to herself, and continued walking.

Instantaneously, Lorelei was ruptured into a fit of coughing. She had to hold onto the streetlight that was to her left. She reached for her water when she noticed blood coming out of her mouth. A pit formed in her stomach, she had decided to call 911. She laid there, keeled over until the ambulance came and took her to a specialist.

"Ms. Braxton, I'm terribly sorry to tell you this, but you have Stage 3 pancreatic cancer," The doctor sat down next to her and gave her a sad smile. Lorelei welled up, leaning into the doctor.

"I don't want to die, please God, don't let me die," She whispered into the air when the doctor left the room. That night, Lorelei Braxton prayed to any God that was listening. She had finally earned her masters in Higher Education. She became an assistant professor at a good college. Why was this happening to her? She had found some great friends and even better co-workers. Just why? Why does cancer have the right to corrupt her life?

As she sat there, Lorelei called her best friend but no answer. There was a teachers party tonight at a nearby bar around campus. She was going to change clothes and then have a great time with friends. Not the case tonight. As she was being checked in at a nearby treatment center, Lorelei just rubbed her stomach.

"Could I get a wheelchair, please?" She asked one of the nurses, and they happily gave her one. Lorelei was in much pain, she sat there, her back just throbbing, and her stomach bloated. It felt as though a pin just poking her would make her gut detonate.

Two weeks later, Lorelei Braxton was settled into hospice. She read all of the letters and held onto them. She truly cherished the people in her life and wished them well. Writing back to them wasn't easy, but she completed her responses and wished them a final farewell. Lorelei wasn't visited by family members, only school friends. She lived a lonely childhood, both her parents died of drug overdoses, and she was thrown into foster care. Lorelei wasn't vengeful or conniving. She was happy she had gotten to see her few friends, sharing a few laughs and much heartache.

Lorelei knew that her life was coming to an end. While her mind was willing herself to get up and live, her body just couldn't. Every time she tried to sit up, a crippling pain appeared in her back, forcing her to stay down. After trying twice, she just had to go to sleep. She was just exhausted. Her natural auburn hair had turned thin and lifeless. Her stomach was so bloated, but she had lost 20 pounds in just four weeks. Her cheeks were sunken in and her eyes were just burning whenever the light was turned on. She had not much longer, she knew that.

Thursday August 18th, 3:39:08AM, Lorelei Braxton was pronounced dead.

While to the plain eye, all the doctors saw was a corpse. But to the third eye, there was a soul that was lifted up. Shooting up into the sky, the soul was met with a large universe. Vast and dark, making it seem like forever. Squirming around, the soul sensed a presence. A huge, calloused hand reached out for the soul and brought it many eons ahead of time.

"My Child, I'm glad you could make it. I've been waiting for you," A voice that had enveloped the soul in its combusting sound forms.

"I know you must be upset with me, but I must tell you something of grave importance," This voice had spoken in a great urgency.

"You have lived many, many lives. So many that I can't explain to you. You won't remember them all, but you will remember this last one, going into your new life. You will remember this encounter with Me, but you must not speak of this to anyone or else you will not be able to speak anymore. You, Child, are a very important existence in so many dimensions. You will eventually be my Scribe when the time comes, but only when you are willing. That is why, you are going into a world of your own creation to prepare you for many other worlds you will create," The voice had explained this to her and she was much displeased, wasn't she supposed to be at peace? Heaven? Is that just a myth? Not so much, but it is a luxury that she won't experience for a long time it seems.

This voice sensed the souls discomfort and aching, they sighed. "It's alright, if you wish to be in heaven you can be, but you still have to work for me, there's no way out," It said and poked the soul affectionately.

"Now, you must go into this world, I'm sure you'll find your own destiny," The voice said, the hand formed into a flicking motion and before her soul could protest, the finger flicked her into many many light years behind him. And before she knew it, "Lorelei" abruptly sat up, gasping for air.

"Princess?"
