Chapter 4 - Ch 4

Carter stared into the soul of the elf in front of him with the intimidation skill active. He ran towards the fleeing elf and managed to dab the dagger in his arm into the elf's body. He quickly zoomed across the battlefield and managed to help the soldiers in trouble.

The Army of Cerulea stared in shock as the commander they previously ignored demolished the battlefield.

"For Cerulea!!" He shouted as his entire fibre secreted confidence and competency. The army roared along with him as the army charged across the battlefield with renewed enthusiasm. Each and every swipe managed to injure an elf, and by the end of the hour, the elven numbers were lower than that of the Cerulean army.

The battle field was littered with the bodies of the elves and humans. This might be the only time in the battle field where they are truly peaceful. Carter rushes to the remaining warriors and shouts words of supprt

"For our fallen comrades"

"For our fallen comrades" The army roared after him

"For our families and friends"

"For our families and friends" Each member stomped while shouting, the earth rattling like the heavens itself fell down.

"For cerulea" Every warrior amongst them charged as Carter's blue eyes turn red. Carter rushed through the field, plowing each and every single one of the elves, the same people that hurt his comrades and betrayed 'his country'.

\While doing this, Carter played a bunch of songs in his mind, one of them being a song that he liked a lot.

Don't matter by Derik fein

When I was young

My father said

"Don't you worry son

You'll find yourself in a world

Of fake and lonely souls"

I'm losing sleep

'Cause this guitar just can't seem to make ends meet, no

I walk the line between confidence and suicide

I made a promise to myself

That the sun, it will rise

I lost some friends along the way

Oh well what a shame

I'm praying when I don't believe

Just to manifest a dream

Demons they torture my mind

Don't matter how hard I fall

No matter how fast I hit the ground

Go on and break all my bones

But you will never break me down

Don't matter how long the road

Gonna be a better me when I get home

Go on and throw shade my way

But if I miss, least I went down swinging

I'm riding through the broken dreams of California

Both fingers crossed windows down

And I'm living on the stories I tell myself

I'm losing sleep

'Cause this guitar just can't seem to make ends meet, no

I walk the line between confidence and suicide

I made a promise to myself

That the sun it will rise

I lost some friends along the way

Oh well what a shame

I'm praying when I don't believe

Just to manifest a dream

Demons they torture my mind

Don't matter how hard I fall

No matter how fast I hit the ground

Go on and break all my bones

But you will never break me down

Don't matter how long the road

Gonna be a better me when I get home

Go on and throw shade my way

But if I miss, least I went down swinging

I know that it rains in this town

All I ask is you don't let me drown

I've got so much to say

But I'm scratching the surface

Trade my soul for the stage

Now my life is a circus

Don't matter how hard I fall

No matter how fast I hit the ground

Go on and break all my bones

But you will never break me down

Don't matter how long the road

Gonna be a better me when I get home

Go on and throw shade my wayBut if I miss, least I went down swinging

He didn't know why he liked the song, but he just did.

Eitherway, Carter witnessed the army of elves present shrink into 8 or 9 groups of 3 elves. They still didn't give up but looked at carter with fear of what they are going to do t the world tree.

That's it for this one see you in the next one
