"Luna Frigg was indeed my aunt, but we all know both her and Alpha Anubis perished in the car accident, and the child was too young to survive," Rhys said calmly.
"Regardless of their death, there was no record of them being both from Alpha line or having a girl," Blake said. His tone was threatening.
"Some elders from back there are still among the pack, aren't they?" Rocky asked. He was the Beta who started this ruckus.
Hades nodded in response, but he tried to think of anything that could divert the attention; they were getting too close.
"What are you waiting for, bring them!" Blake growled.
Hades sent a mind-link to one omega to bring the three elders to the meeting room. When the three elders heard, he summoned them. They knew what it was about. But, despite all three of them being aware of the truth, neither will say so if questioned. However, now faced with the impending questionnaire, there was one person they could turn to.
When the three elders entered the room at once, the Alphas threw questions at them. The elders feigned ignorance and gave many excuses from them not remembering to them not being there. They blurted each nonsense that came to mind. Finally, after about half an hour, the door flew open, and while the elders didn't show it, they breathed in relief.
"What is the meaning of this?" a loud voice roared from the now open door.
Hearing that, the men turned to look who was interrupting their meeting and when they met his eyes, their blood froze in their veins. A tall man, surrounded by a dark, intimidating aura, was standing at the door. His hair was gray, and his face had deep expression wrinkles revealing his old age. Yet, despite being the oldest among them, he was still as sharp as he was in his youth. His name was Michael, and he was the head of the elder's council. Michael rarely showed his face outside of the elder's tribunal, but it meant things had gotten seriously out of hand when he did.
"Alphas dare to question their elders? What is this, kindergarten?" Michael said in his stern voice.
"Michael, let us explain," Blake said, trying to plead with the man.
At that, Michael just raised his arm, silencing Blake.
"No need, you idiots are bickering like teenagers while being seating ducks. If I were you, I'd stop this charade and get to tracking and hunting before I become the prey," Michael said sternly.
After his statement, everyone looked puzzled. They didn't know what he was referring to. Seeing that, Michael knocked three times on the table.
"You are all here in the same room, morons. She is a rogue, which means an idiot did something he shouldn't have at some point. It means almost certainly she hates us and may seek revenge. So you have gathered here, leaving the front door as the only obstacle between her and your deaths." Michael said, explaining to all of them.
As soon as he finished saying that, the lights went out. Electronic doors locked themselves, all communication devices lost signal, leaving everyone trapped in the Crimson Moon castle.
-Earlier that day, before Hades woke up at the Morrigan Villa. –
"It was your idea, Aris. What now?" Axel asked, waiting for Aris to explain the plan.
"Actually, Freyja said it first," Aris said calmly.
"I only said maybe we should tell him the truth, haven't thought further than that," Freyja said, raising her hands in surrender.
"So, no one has a plan, typical," Blade said, scoffing at them.
"Look, if we tell him we're still hanging by a silver thread. We can't be sure he won't say anything." Ace said, pointing out neither of them trusted Hades.
"Earlier today, I heard some wolves talking that they will hold the Grand Meeting this Saturday. So that means all Alphas are here to seek for you." Axel said, drumming his fingers on the table.
"Isn't it better if they think we are with them, not against them?" Aris asked, rubbing his chin.
"And what do you suggest?" Freyja asked.
"I say, let's storm the castle," Blade said lazily, leaning on the couch.
"That may work," Aris said.
All of them widened their eyes in shock. They thought Blade was sarcastic, but hearing Aris agree with his plan was surprising.
"We all want to see Frey in her rightful place, and we all want revenge. The best plan to get that revenge is to make your way into the pack. Before, it could've worked if you hid as a human, but now, we could kill two birds with one stone. If we take advantage of sleeping beauty's bond with Frey, we might get lucky enough he won't spill the beans too fast. We can feed him a sob story so he will be on our side and then storm the castle. When we do so, we can show them both how powerful you are, so they won't mess with you but also get you in the best spot to find proof of your parents' murder," Aris said, explaining his plan.
After thinking for a few moments, they all agreed to follow Aris's plan.
-Present time, back at Crimson Moon-
"What the hell is wrong with the lights?" a voice asked.
It was so dark they barely saw anything. Someone tried to open the door while another tried to call for help, but all efforts were in vain. Freyja trapped them. When the realization hit them, all of them attempted mind-linking their best fighters to come to the rescue.
"Tsk, tsk, tsk, sorry lousy connection, that won't work," Freyja's voice sounded all over the castle.
Her demonic voice sent chills down their spines, making them petrified in fear.
"Even if we can't mind-link anyone, there are thirty of us, and one of you," one of the Alphas said, trying to act brave.
A flash of light flew through the room, followed by a loud thud. After the thud, they tried to figure what happened, but neither could see anything in that darkness.
"He's right. You can't just kill us all," another Alpha chimed in, despite trembling with fear.
A second flash of light, followed by another loud thud, made them all tremble and keep quiet.
"Anyone else feeling smart?" Freyja asked while laughing maniacally.
Given the long silence, she understood they were too afraid to talk. Then, at once, all lights came on so bright that they blinded everyone in the room. When their vision adjusted and they could see again, they glanced at the room. In the room's corner were the alphas that spoke previously, piled together, bleeding but alive., while Freyja stood at the entrance with a dagger at Michael's throat. She unlocked the door long enough to allow the boys to get into the room with a glance. All of them stood by her, now with their weapons drawn and threatening to attack if anyone moves. Freyja started walking calmly towards the head of the table where Hades stood.
"Hello, pumpkin. Did you miss me?" Freyja said, winking at Hades, but her laugh was psychotic while she played with the dagger in her hand.
"Rumor has it, you fools are looking for me," Freyja said, slamming her hands on the table.
"Here's a tip. I'm right here," she said, letting yet another psychotic laugh now spinning into the chair.
"What do you want?" Michael asked in a calm tone.
"Who? Little me?" Freyja said, pointing at her. "Oh, nothing much," she added, taking a serious stance.
"I thought the plan was to stay hidden," Hades whispered just for her to hear.
"Plan's change, teddy bear," Freyja said aloud, letting all know they were talking.
"Here's what I want. Number one, I'm too busy to hide and too important to run. Hence, your plotting to hunt me down was a headache. Number two, Mr. Eye candy here, is my mate, which I plan to accept." Freyja said, grinning mischievously.
At the sudden revelation, everyone whispered to each other. Annoyed by their murmurs, she slammed her hands one more time on the table, turning the attention back to her.
"So, I'm here proposing a truce," Freyja said in a bored tone.
"For someone who wants a truce, you sure show it violently," Blake said, gritting his teeth.
"What can I say? I'm a sucker for pain," Freyja said, smirking at him.
"So, you're saying you are on our side as long we don't bother you?" Michael asked, making sure he understood.
"Drumroll, please, we have a winner," Freyja said, clapping her hands.
"She's mad. You can't possibly consider her deal," Blake shouted at Michael.
In a flash, Freyja stood beside him.
"You know, I've always wondered if an Alpha's blood tastes different," she whispered in his ear, sending cold shivers through his whole body.
Michael placed one hand on her shoulder, and she turned to face him.
"That's enough of that. We accept," Michael said, making all the other Alphas bow their heads.
"Brilliant," Freyja exclaimed, clasping her hands together.
Now that she gained the support of the most respected elder, it will be hard to go after her. Besides that, she stated her intention of accepting Hades as her mate, making her the Luna of Crimson Moon. Given how well their plan worked, the six friends were exhilarated, and now it was time for the rest of their plan to unravel.
