The two weeks flew by just like that, with nothing new or important happening, right up until the Mewday of the third week.
I had Prime/Beedrill fighting against a (high) silver stage Hitmonchan we came across, and Prime had to take quite a few punches before he managed to take out the poisoned Hitmonchan with a final Venoshock.
Prime was so exhausted afterward that he just touched down and laid on the ground while I had Luna/Clefairy heal him up using Life Dew and Moonlight. I had her do the same to Hitmonchan whom I also gave a few of my homemade antidotes.
Members of the Hitmon-family were wandering around Mt.Moon and challenging others to battles to hone themselves, so the previous fight was one which we peacefully agreed on.
Once Hitmonchan was back up on its feet and left to continue its training, I turned back to Prime who had recovered thanks to Luna. I checked his status to make sure he was fine and saw that he had actually managed to raise his vitality to C. Since that was his fourth parameter at C-value his stage rose to (high) silver.

He became really excited when I told him the news and Luna as well as the others on guard duty cheered for him as well.
Besides, his improvement stage-wise, the rest of his status screen was the same as before. Still, I had to admit I was lately quite impressed seeing his move section. Prime had shown remarkable progress during the last year and his move section more than anything proved that.
I had Prime focus more on improving his existing moves instead of learning new ones. He only learned two new ones, Mega Drain and Brick Break, to cover some of his weaknesses.
His focus on his old moves was the reason that he managed to raise a whole 4 moves to advanced mastery while improving a few other moves as well. Poison Jab and Venoshock were among those 4 moves, and I had to admit the two moves made a pretty great combination.
Currently, he was concentrating on raising Iron Defense to advanced master's well, and once that happened, I was hoping that he would be able to learn Steel Wing, which is outside of his regular move pool.
Anyway, now that Prime had reached the (high) silver stage I chose to retire him from the priority list. The rest of the month after that went by without any further visible progress by anyone else in group 3.
The fourth academic month started, which meant that it was once more group 1's turn to train at Mt.Moon. Ironically, it was not one of them that first showed some progress, but Shino/Yanmega from group 3.
On Giratiday of the first week, while I was in class my Pokemon were training. During the break, I checked in with them and Shino told me that he felt something, but that he was not sure if it was his imagination or not. Well, it wasn't, his Endurance rose to C which elevated him to the (high) silver stage.

Unlike with Prime, the changes in Shino's move section were the result of him spreading his focus nearly equally on learning new moves and focusing on old ones. I chose his new moves to round out his offensive capabilities a bit more, and he focused on Air Slash for the same reason.
However, Detect just seemed to mesh well with him, probably due to his talent being from the same category, which was why it was one of the moves that rose to advanced mastery.
It was also the move he was currently focusing on. The plan was to bring Detect up to master, and he made pretty good progress thanks to/in combination with his talent.
Anyway, as soon as my lessons were over I found myself a quiet place close to our home and entered Utopia to officially congratulate Shino and throw a small party before going home.
During the rest of the fourth month, the others members of group 1 made some progress as well. Thankfully, if that had not happened I would have felt bad for them. Luna was the first to show progress, her Energy Density rose to C at the end of the first week, and this was her second parameter at C-value.
Towards the end of the second week, Dialday evening to be specific, Thor's Strength elevated to C, and that was his third, which meant that he only needed one more to reach the (high) silver stage.
Enji took his time, his Energy Capacity only improved a day before the start of the fifth month. That was his second parameter at C-value.
The fifth month started great, with Tatsumaki's Energy Capacity and Agility rising to C one after the other during Palkiday and Dialday of the first week. Gastly seemingly decided to follow her example and had his Energy Capacity and Agility to C as well just a few days later, during Arcday and Mewday of the second week.
The big one happened during our quest to be the best around Mt.Moon on Dialday of the third week. We came across a Magcargo for the first time and I thought it would be a good idea for Tyson/Machoke to face it since it was at the (high) silver stage.
Since Magcargo's body was made out of magma, not counting its shell which was just hardened lava, I thought that it would make a good exercise for Tyson.
He had to endure the heat, and fire energy, that was a result of Magcargo's liquid magma/lava body while attacking which should help train his energy density, also known as energy defense.
Moreover, the Magcargo seemed to be fond of the moves Lava Plume and Flamethrower, so Tyson got bathed in flames and lava a few times before he managed to knock out the Magcargo.
Now, on a side note, I want to add two things concerning Magcargo and Slugma. First of all, the shell of Magcargo was not as brittle as portrayed in canon. That was only the case, for a period after its evolution. The stronger it became the harder the shell turned into, until it was as hard as a rock.
Get it? You know, because of its rock typing. Anyway, the second point I wanted to address was the part in canon where Slugma had to keep moving outside of magma pools or risk solidifying.
That was not true, Slugma could prevent that by circulating their fire energy through the fire energy manipulation that all fire types had. Even the initial one they had after their birth/hatching was enough to avoid joining Medusa's statue collection, and I'm not talking about my sweet Gyarados here.
They also did not solidify after coming into contact with water, that would have been quite damning. I think the only way they could solidify was if one threw them into the ocean and they did not manage to leave before they ran out of energy, which was also why I said ocean and not lake or river since they would most likely be able to leave those water bodies before running out of energy.
Anyway, now that I had debunked those two canon facts, I could focus back on Tyson. Straight after that fight, once Luna healed him back to full health through Life Dew, Tyson's Energy Density parameter got stimulated and improved to C, which in turn elevated Tyson to the (high) silver stage.
I noticed it when I checked his status to make sure he was in good condition since he had gotten burned and I had to use my homemade burn heal.

It showed that Tyson was in good condition and pretty excited after that fight. Well, about the fight and the fact that he reached the (high) silver stage as well.
Still, while looking at his status screen, specifically at his move section I had to confess I was a bit bothered by the high number of moves in the beginner category.
That was mostly because I had Tyson learn a wide range of moves from different types so that he could counter all types of opponents. Nonetheless, that meant that he only really trained them for a bit after earning them. He also only improved four of his older moves.
Yet, I did not regret that decision since Tyson was much more versatile after learning those moves. Besides, we stopped learning new moves and were now concentrating on training the ones he had in his current move set. Those should be enough for him to focus on for a long time.
Raising Low Kick and Vital Throw to advanced mastery had been what helped elevate his fighting energy manipulation to advanced as well. I speculated that mastering multiple moves of the fighting type should elevate his fighting energy manipulation to mastery as well.
That also explained why Mothra had yet to increase any of her energy manipulations to master grade since nearly all her mastered moves were of different types. She was practically suffering due to her own excellence.
That made me make a note to research the evolution condition of Machoke now that he had reached the (high) silver stage.
Anyway, after I congratulated him on his success, I decided to stop the training session two hours early. Instead, we entered Utopia and threw a party until it was time to go back home.
In the days following Tyson's exit from the priority list, I noted that Eggy was becoming less clingy. He was no longer trying to stick to me all the time but was willing to follow the others around out of his own initiative.
While this was a good development it felt a bit unusual the first few days since I had become used to him being glued to me during the last few months.
That it happened a few days before the end of the first term made me remember/realize that it had already been five months since he hatched. Oh, how fast time flew by.
