The next two days flew by like the wind and before I knew it was Arcday and my parents left once more. After the morning training session, I decided to start preparing the lotions I was planning to gift Rose.
I was planning to produce four bottles each for Eevee, Vulpix, and Whismur. The lotions would be the same, I was just planning to make enough for 4 bottles. Despite Eevee being a normal type just like Whismur the lotions I was planning to make one for each specific species.
That did not mean that I did not have lotions aimed at specific types, but the species-specific one was obviously more effective as long as they were of the same class and potency. I went along with the recipe I had for both Vulpix and Whismur, but for Eevee, I adjusted the original.
I knew that Rose was determined to let Ivy/Eevee evolve to Leafeon, so I made sure to incorporate materials that would add a slight amount of benign grass energy to the lotion. If used long enough this would help lay a nice foundation for her evolution.
After preparing all the ingredients I went to check up on Eggy since I did not want to interrupt the production process. It took me a total of 3 hours to prepare the lotion for Whismur.
I bottled the lotion and marked them as Whismur's bottles by writing his name Boom on them. After cleaning up the working station, I decided to work on Vulpix's portion tomorrow. Once I finished up inside the mansion, I went out and called everyone over.
"Alright, what do you want to eat? Curry, Sushi, Barbecue, or your regular Pokefood."
*loud chatter/everyone talking at once*
"Okay, okay, calm down everyone," I told them to pacify them, and once they quietened down I decided to settle it through voting.
"We'll decide it through a vote. Everyone has one vote and I want you to raise your hand, paw, fin, wing, or tail for the dish you prefer. Now, who wants curry?"
When the hand, paw, fin, wing, or tail of nearly everyone rose, I had to scratch my head a bit.
"Well, looks like we don't have to vote on the rest," I announced with a laugh. "Alright, I'll start on the curry, meanwhile you guys and gals can play around or simply relax."
I pulled out a working table, 5 large pots, 5 gas burners, and other things necessary for cooking curry. While I was cutting the ingredients I overheard Mothra/Butterfree and Horus/Xatu talking.
The topic of tag came up while they were talking about their favorite games, and I heard Horus bragging that he would be undefeatable if he was allowed to teleport even if it's just short range.
Mothra then challenged him and they start a round of tag. Horus kept teleporting away whenever Mothra came close. Once, twice, thrice, it happens many times.
Mothra became increasingly frustrated before she, after Horus's latest teleportation, followed after Horus in a teleport of her own. While she was quite a bit off since it was her first Teleport Mothra finally caught him since Horus's shock that it was his turn to get copied was great enough that he didn't run.
She only realized what she did after she caught Horus, and she began excitedly chittering as soon as she did. Mothra began testing out the move full of excitement, appearing and disappearing all over the area.
Once she stopped, she got swarmed by the others who jokingly complained about her learning a move without trying to. I had to laugh at Mothra trying to not appear smug.
I congratulated her before turning back to my curry. Still, while I was cooking I contemplated if I should have Mothra teach Teleport to Optimus and Cyan/Butterfree as well as Emerald/Butterfree. That way my parents would have some Pokemon that could teleport them away from danger.
Still, non-psychic types had a harder time learning the move and even after that, they were worse at the move than regular psychic types. Well, Pokemon with a psychic affinity were the exception since they were as good as psychic types or as close as possible.
Once I was done cooking I distributed the curry to everyone. We spent the rest of the day after lunch training for a few hours and relaxing. The next day after my morning training I finished the lotion for Vulpix and filled the bottles before labeling them with Princess.
After lunch mom called me to tell me that the hoodies were ready for pick up, so I left the house and made my way to the store. I showed the receipt to one of the attendants, who brought a package to me.
I checked the 6 hoodies to make sure they were undamaged and to the specifications of mom. After I was sure everything was fine I paid the rest of the sum and left.
While I was leaving, I began to consider if I should get myself a few custom sets as well. I could get a few sets with different bug types or any type really. Species-specific sets, with Magikarp and Gyarados, or group-specific ones, like canines or birds, were an option as well.
Instead of going home, I thought back to the last weekend and the Rattata in the alley. Since I had been considering Rattata, Sentret, and Zigzagoon, as well as Bidoof, it would be a lie if I said I did not consider whether I should gather up the Rattata in all alleys around the city.
The only question would be the possibility of any illnesses or pathogens, but Utopia would take care of that so that was actually not a problem for me. Still, from a purely psychological point, I felt a bit reluctant to use them.
Hmm, if I used them only for propagation and started with the second generation then even that point would become moot. Yeah, I seem to have already decided to go with the idea since I was trying to find solutions for each argument.
So, instead of heading back home, I called out Thor/Pikachu and we began going around the side alleys of Rota. Whenever I entered an alley I called out Horus just in case as support before checking if any Rattata were around.
I also came across a few Meowth, Zigzagoon, Ekans, Koffing, Spinarak, Grimer, and even one or two Gulpin, but they all had unsatisfactory potential so I left them alone.
Still, I did capture all Rattata until I had roughly 220 of them while none had green potential. There were a few with yellow potential, roughly 15 of them had different shades of yellow.
About 90 of the Rattata were male while 130 were female, this was because I decided to focus on female ones after the number of males reached 90. The strongest among them were at the (low) bronze stage while the weakest were at the (low) iron stage.
After I had achieved my goal I went back home and I directly focused on my subspace fauna. I allotted 360k m² to the Rattata and replanted quite a few berry trees there as a food source for them, before adding a little stream that served as a water source for them.
Their stream was smaller than the one that went through the cattle section simply due to the size difference, and not because I was discriminating against them.
I mean the Spearow's stream was the same size since they were just as small compared to a fully grown cow or bull. I would consider changing it if enough of them evolved and grew bigger.
I also planted a lot of lower-class flowers around their area, some of them being of different types in case future generations developed an extra affinity. Some trees for shades and a few burrows were added as well.
After that, I let all Rattata out of the unmarked balls before moving them to their new home. The number of yellow shades rose from 15 to 31 and 4 managed to break into the green territory, light green to be specific.
I first addressed the strongest of them and explained to them their new reality before doing the same to everyone else. After checking out their surroundings they seemed to shrug and go with the flow. Their new living environment was much much better than their previous one after all
They settled down and split into groups before spreading into different areas/directions. They should properly settle down within the next few weeks, but I was pretty sure that it would take at least a few years before the new generation was ready.
So, all I had to do was occasionally check up on them, at least for the next 3 to 4 years. Well, unless something came up that required me to interfere with them.
Once I was done with them I went to check up on Eggy, before supervising everyone's training until dinner, after which we all relaxed and watched a movie.
The next morning during my 6:30 a.m check on Eggy I decided to change to the paste I used at first, the one that was slightly too potent. It was Giratiday and in the last two and a half weeks Eggy had more than adapted to the weaker paste, so it could now withstand the slightly more potent one.
I applied the paste I had in storage but I needed to make more of this more potent version later on. Still, for now, I went back to sleep for another 3 hours.
After I woke up, I had a quick breakfast before I finally finished the last portion of the lotion. Once I bottled it and labeled the bottles with Ivy, Rose's gifts were officially complete.
Well, I decided to write a short instruction for each lotion that contained how much to use each time, how often it could be used, and the best ways to apply the lotions, but after that, the gift was really complete, I swear.
Yet, I remembered that I actually had to wrap up the bottles and the hoodies in wrapping paper. Thankfully we still had more than enough of that lying around from the last time we had to wrap up gifts.
I used a ribbon to bind the 4 bottles for each Pokemon before wrapping them up in 3 separate papers. I did the same for the hoodies, where I wrapped up the two hoodies of the same kind in one wrapper resulting in another 3 wrappings.
While 6 packages seemed a bit much, it was still better than two giant packages. With those packages completed, I was finally really done. I stored them before focusing on other things. Such as my subspace, to be more specific subspace fauna.
While the cattle and Rattata were sufficient for my future plans, the number of Spearow was too low. So, I decided to solve that problem today instead of postponing it any further.
Decision made, I left our property after checking up on Eggy and moved towards the forest close to our home with Horus, Mothra, Thor, Nyx/Umbreon, and Enji/Growlithe by my side.
We honestly did not have to walk far before coming across a small gathering of Spearow that I promptly captured using unmarked Pokeballs. We directly resumed walking and two maybe three hours later we were done.
I captured roughly 100 Spearow and combined with the 27 Spearow I caught before I had more than enough Spearow for my propagation project. Of the 126 Spearow, 63 were male, and just as many were female.
The strongest Spearow was at the (mid) bronze stage, and after the Utopia experience, the highest potential was green, while the lowest was still light orange.
The previous batch helped me inform the new batch of their situation. Once they understood what was going on and accepted their new circumstance the Spearow divided into 6 smaller flocks before spreading to different parts of their area.
Once we were back home, we relaxed until dinner and chilled the rest of the evening as well. The next morning I called Rose to congratulate her since today was her real birthday.
The party would be tomorrow, but that was no reason why I shouldn't congratulate her during the actual day of her birthday, so that was what I did.
After the call with Rose, I called my parents about tomorrow, and we agreed to meet in from of the Teleportation Hub of Orchid City at 12:30 a.m. I spent the rest of the day with my Pokemon, either training or relaxing.
