"W-w-what are you saying? Which crime?" I asked, wanting to know what the wrongdoing was. Kaycee's words made me unconsciously frown.
"Your uncle Mikel and your mother had something to do with the murder of Bella's parents."
At that moment, I felt like a cold stream was pouring over me. Her face was grave and didn't show any sign of humor. If you're going to make a joke, it's best to make sure it's funny. But if the trick doesn't make people laugh, it's no longer funny and doesn't do what it was meant to do.
"We have to talk, Evo. Hop in." Kaycee spoke.

After placing my order for a hot coffee, I returned to the table where my good friend Kaycee was waiting patiently. She was looking right at me.
