Chapter 141 - Chapter 141

"Don't panic!" Chess exclaimed with a frown as he looked at the panicking Wapol and the surrounding soldiers. "This bastard has a devil fruit that protects him from ranged attacks, that's all," he added, waving his hand to the side.

"We only need to get close and attack from melee range, and he'll be helpless," he added, successfully reassuring Wapol, who regained his smug smile, and the soldiers who stopped panicking.

"Why don't you give it a try, then?" I said with a smile as I gestured for them to bring it.

"He's just bluffing! Get him!" Chess said as he and Kuromarimou began running in my directions, followed by several dozen soldiers.

Chess was the first to reach me, and he lunged in my direction, trying to stab my shoulder with a flaming arrow. I stepped to the side, avoiding his attack as I buried my knee in his gut, causing him to grunt in pain, the force of my hit raising off the ground.

I spun around in place, kicking him in the stomach while he was still floating in the air and sending him flying backward, crashing into several soldiers and knocking them off their feet in the process.

I raised my hand to block a punch from Kuromarimou as soon as I regained my balance, as he was already upon me, swinging his afro-covered fist at me.

I felt a faint stinging sensation on my arm, and my eye involuntarily turned to look at my hand to notice a black fluffy substance sticking to it, sizzling with blue electric arcs.

'How does that even work?' I shook my head with a frown as I released some flame from my prosthetic left arm, burning away the afro as I grabbed Kuromarimo's neck and slammed him into the ground.

"Omni Impact," I murmured as I released an omnidirectional impact while still holding Kuromarimo as several soldiers charged at me with their spears pointing at my torso.

Kuromarimo screamed in agony, his eyes turning white as blood spurted out of his mouth. The soldiers had it much easier, and they merely flew backward, crashing into their comrades behind them, with snow flying everywhere.

I smiled, my ears twitching as they picked up the sound of flapping wings and sizzling flames coming from the distance, but I paid it no mind as I stood up.

My eyes flashed, filtering through the sea of snow and soldiers as I located Chess, who was only getting while holding his abdomen with a pained expression now.

I appeared in front of him with a quick application of soru, unmindful of his panicked expression, as I delivered an impact-powered fist into his guts, causing him to faint on the spot.

"How boring..." I said with a sigh, scratching my head as I looked around at the panicking, fearful faces around me. "I guess my expectations were too high," I added with a shrug.

"Well, might as well get this over with," I said with a determined expression as I channeled my conquerer's hake, manifesting as a silver, transparent shock wave that enveloped all soldiers around me, causing them to faint.

I turned to look at Wapol, Dalton, and the handful of conscious soldiers near them and began inching towards them, intending to put an end to this farce.

"Dalton! You and these useless idiots protect me while I escape!" Wapol exclaimed while gesturing with his hands in a panic as he turned around, intending to flee.

Dalton looked at Wapol with a grim expression, his eyes alternating between him, the soldiers, and myself. "No," Dalton said with a frown, causing Wapol to stagger and fall face-first into the snow.

"What do you mean no, you bastard?!" Wapol asked with a shrill scream. "I'm your king, and you will obey me!" he added as he walked back to Dalton and grabbed the collar of his fur coat, causing me to halt my steps to watch the show with an amused expression.

"Not anymore," Dalton said with a neutral expression as he slapped away Wapol's hands. "Drop your weapons, soldiers!" he added, decisively waving his hand to the side.

Wapol blankly looked at Dalton and then turned to the soldiers who had hesitant expressions on their faces, his face distorting in rage as the first soldier to drop his weapon, prompting the others to do the same.

"Useless traitors! All of you!" Wapol said with rage dripping from his tone as he transformed his hand into a cannon, pointing it towards the soldiers.

"Die, traitors!" he exclaimed in a shrill tone as he shot a cannot ball out of his hand, aiming at the soldiers. However, Dalton quickly reacted and rushed in front of him in his hybrid form, blocking the shot.

"You can not decide the fates of the people here any longer, Wapol!" Dalton said with a grunt as he let go of the cannonball and fell to his knees with a pained expression.

"It's all your fault, Dalton, your bastard!" Wapol said between gnashing teeth as he hatefully glared at Dalton. "No matter what happens today, I'll eat you at least," he added, comically unhinging his teeth as he lunged at Dalton, trying to bite his head off.

"Please protect the soldiers. They were only following my foolish orders," Dalton said with a calm expression, unphased by his imminent death as he turned to look at me with a serene expression, seemingly accepting his fate.

"Protect them, your damned self," I said with a smirk as I appeared between Wapol and dalton with a quick soru step, holding Wapol's metallic jaw just in time before he but Dalton's head off.

"Damn you!" Wapol said in a weird voice as I held his mouth open. "Tongue Cannon!" he exclaimed, his tongue transforming into a cannon, pointing straight at my face.

I merely shrugged as I kicked backward, sending Dalton flying away from harm's way while Wapol fired at me at point-blank range.

"Maaaaaahahahahaha, what an idiot!" Wapol said with a smug laugh as the cannonball hit me, exploding right in my face with smoke, hindering his vision.

However, he soon stopped laughing as he didn't feel the strength of my hand lessen on his jaws, and the smoke cleared, revealing my still standing without a scratch.

I smirked as I increased the strength of my grip without letting go of Wapol's metallic jaw, causing it to make metallic screeching noises as it began bending.

"Damn it, you monster!" Wapol exclaimed with wide-open eyes as he fired another shot at me with his tongue cannon. I quickly closed his jaws, causing the round to explode inside his mouth, and held the top of his head, slamming him into the ground.

"Wait, we can talk about-" Wapol said in a panic as he tried to get up, earning a stomp on his head for his efforts from yours truly. "You bastard, I'm a king. You can't do this to me!" he added, earning another stomp on his head.

"Whether you're a king or a god, it doesn't matter," I said with a shrug as I kicked him on his side, turning him over on his back.

"It does matter, you fool, because part of the world government!" Wapol exclaimed as he glared at me. "One word from me, and you'll be a wanted man for life!" he added while gnashing his teeth.

"Like I said, it doesn't matter," I replied with a shrug as I stepped on his neck with a cold expression. "Because you'll be dead soon," I added as I took out my gun, pointing it at his forehead.
