500 years ago many mythical creatures lived peacefully along side each other. Humans were aware of their existence and accepted them. For a long time, everyone lived in harmony because of the Guardians. They were group of enhanced humans whose sole purpose was to maintain the peace between all the creatures and their lands. They defeated dark witches, rogues, and night walkers separating the good from evil. Eventually the leaders of the Guardians became obsessed with their abilities and gifts and started to abuse their power. They slaughtered countless innocents from all species. Eventually the Vampires, Witches, Werewolves, and Fairies banded together to overthrow the Guardians. They had the support of all other creatures, but seeing as they were the biggest threat to the Guardians, they were the only ones to fight. On October 31st 300 years ago, the armies of magical creatures marched towards the Golden Forest, the land of the Guardians. There was a lot of bloodshed and loss that day devastating every species. That day became known as the Great War and the extinction of the Guardians. After the war, every group went their separate ways to mourn the loss of their people and protectors. Unbeknownst to them, three of the Guardians were able to escape and fled to the furthest corner of the world waiting and planning their return.
That's where my story comes in. I am the product of the remaining Guardians' cross breeding experiment. I am Nightshade, and this is my story.
